yeah i dont get what the point is ever ...who sold more..who sold less etc.etc. it would mean something....if half of us worked at sony and half of us worked at MS. but since we dont...what the F*** does it matter? i could honestly care less...if im the only one in the world that has either one...at least i got it!
neither Sony nor MS are pissing themselves... Well MS might be a little because they basically sold a copy of halo 3 to 1 in every 3 xboxs sold!! MGS4 is gonna do alot of good for Sony......but MS could care less......Halo is gonna be "THE" game just on hype alone.....it could be garbage nd still sell more copies than anyhting!!! im gonna buy the $129 edition just so i can have that damn helmet!!! lol Im just glad its getting to that time of year.....where there is alot of good games comming out for both consoles!! its just a good time to be a gamer!
jz12b..........my opinion on wether its worth the $600. It is way worth the money if you are buying it as a $600 blu-ray player.....that also plays games. Is it worth $600 as a game console right now??? depends. Can you afford $600 right now? if its one of those things where you have to save and save and save to get the $600....if thats the case i would say keep saving and wait. right now there is not alot of really good games for it.But by the end of this summer / christmas there should be plenty of good titles out there. i def wouldnt say run out and get one tomorrow!!!! but i would def say go get one! the internet browser works...but if you have a PC there is no real need to use the ps3 browser, not exactly the fastest thing in the world. i have not downloaded any full length movies on my ps3....but i have downloaded a few little porn clips ( PEOPLE...this is just cool!!! you can download porn on your video game console!!!) lol As far as online.....well there isnt alot of good online games right now....so hard to say but i think the online will be more from each game individually so it will depend more on what game your playing. but the good news is........it will play all your old games.So is it worth $600.......................all depends on how you ask the question. my answer ......is it worth it right now....PROLLY NOT.....but it will be soon enough. and this from a sony first guy
i agree 100%.............GOW is the prettiest game out there...........but gameplay...not so much. like i said b4......it was short......the online wasnt the best thing ever......im not a huge fan of how simple the game actually is...push A for everything...and it makes sense but the character movement was very sluggish. now it being sluggish fit perfectly with the character.......so i cant say that is a design flaw or anything like that. honestly 90% of Gears hype and what have you....stem from the graffix. im not saying its not a good game......i just dont think its as good of a game as the hype that surrounds it... which is kind of funny......when so many people say graffix dont make a game etc.etc.i agree...graffix will only take a game so far!! id rather play a dumb'd down graffix game....with great gameplay.....instead of something so life like with garbage gameplay. Resistance wasnt terrible.......it was a solid shooter!! looked good..played pretty good. online....well it was online! but not to bad for a launch title.

so true......both of the last two posts....i bought my ps3 at aunch for one reason only!!!! madden!!!!! and ummmm well lets just say the game was in the ps3 for about 30 minutes then back at gamestop as a trade in!!! 360 should have kept this port!!! it was garbage!!! so i bought resistance and tony hawk. mlb the show is really nice!!! if your into sports games!!!! it looks great! and it looks even better on my brand new 65' lol and i agree with you sworder on the whole..i dont think halo will be any better than GOW. my only gripe about gears is......well i have 2 and they are both more just to have a reason to gripe....1. it was pretty short. and 2. the online only being 4on 4. like i said neither one of these are really reasons to complain...........but it is in my opinion the two things that bugged me the most about the game
here is my opinion on the cost of games and consoles................the only people who cry about price are the people who cant afford it. thats anything in life.id pay $100 for a game.........if the game was worth it. but if it is a really really pretty game with 15 hours of gameplay...no chance! yup the ps3 is $600 but there is a reason it is $600 wether you like the reason or not...or agree or believe its worth it.....doesnt matter!! there is a reason.....will it come down in price....of course. right after sony gets as much as they can from the people who will pay $600 then it will drop to whatever price...and a whole new group of people will run out and buy it...cuz now they can! its obvious that the ps3 was not ever gonna be the console that the average kid is gonna own. the 360 is $400 not exactly the cheapest thing in the world. but $200 cheaper than sonys product. so when ya are on a budget.......comon sense says the 360 is the way to spend your money.....and right now if ya had to choose one or the other...i would agree 360.
