ill repost this......video game systems priced at their launch and what that relates to today adding inflation etc...etc.. from the oct issue of gameinformer: Atari VCS 1977 $200 todays value..$672 Mattel Intellivision 1979 $299 todays....$838 NES w/ ROB 1985 $249 today... $471 Neo Geo 1990 $650 today.....$1012 so just a little example of how inflation drives the price up on everything!!!! Just like GAS!!!! or anything else for that matter.....so if ya dont like the price of something....write sony a leTter and tell them!! If your not buying it because of the cost........that sucks!!! but the price of the system is worth all the pennies ya spend on it!!! i love how 360 fans never mention the $200 hd drive you have to add to your xbox.......and the best part is....and im not 100% this is accurate...i will have to check but my gamestop said the 360 doesnt even have 1080 output!! so with a hd drive...what exactly does it do?

ok first of all....G MACHINE..... if someone has alot of money or can afford the $600 and doesnt think $600 is alot...should not be scolded......dont get mad at those who made something out of their lives!!!! i say if he has millions...good for him!!! dont hate on him because he can do something you might not be able to do!!!! so save your moral issue BS for church!! WTF is that...so should we say we hope your kids dont grow up broke like you??? sometimes somes things should be left unsaid!!!! as far as PC games go....i agree usually on top of graffiz etc....problem is...it cost so much to keep up with the gaffix......which makes me wonder.......PC graffix are the best overall....microsoft is the leading PC company............so why does it seem to me that 360 is just a normal xbox with a better graffix card? Dont ya think they should have had a very big advantage in graffix???? im just saying people act like $600 is so outrageous of a price....when ya put all the things in the PS3 seperate.....and bought them individually...you would be spending thousands of dollars!!!! and not to mention how long you will prolly have it.........i figure it will pay for itself as soon as i turn it on and get my first little hard on!!!

FIRELINK i say if you dont have a preorder already for the ps3....and ya happen to have some money ya wanna spend on a console.....and you can save up the $600 bucks within 4-6 months.......i would say buy the Wii now! and pick yourself up the ps3 when they ship more...................here are my reasons: A. if ya dont already have a preorder for the PS3 it doesnt matter cuz you wont be able to get one until the next shipment..unless ya can pull off some small walmart miracle. B, the Wii is still gonna be a fun console to play.....just not sure if i would ever call it my main console anyways......im not sure if the Wii will be a sell out on preorders.....but nintendo seems to have their stuff together enough that....even if they did sell out at launch, you will prolly be able to get your hands on one sooner than later if you can only afford one system my advice to you would be save your pennies and pray that Playstation can get some more consoles out soon!! then when ya know there are more comming...get yourself a preorder and enjoy what in my opinion will be the best console out! hope that helps in some way shape or form....but then again its just my opinion!

I guess i say to you....bummer you cant afford it!!! I sure hope you know someone who can...so you to can enjoy the fun new stuff as well!! I really hope this is the last time i feel the need to comment on price............it all comes down to you cant afford one and thats not fair....sony is doing it just because they dont want "you" to play their new console...the only like rich people!!!! so there...now is everyone happy? Is the PS3 expensive? HELL YES!!!! but maybe just maybe sony isnt targeting the 6-15 year old gamers and the rich mommies? KUDOS Rugripper...nice post! do we remember .........Zelda? not i was young when that game first took over my life....i have no idea how many hours i put into that game.....i was young so prolly not the greatest game finisher in the world....but DAMN!!!!! seemed like that game took me forever to solve!!! and now............it seems like you can bust through most games in a good saturday-sunday session. Not to mention it seems so unfullfilled when ya do......alot of games dont give you anything that makes ya feel like all your work was worth it....WOOOHOO you have unlocked concept art or the designers new grill we wants to put in his house!? WHAT IS THAT!!!! so to SONY , MICROSOFT , nintendo......KEEP a few of your neato graffix........you can even have back the nunchuk and 6 axis......give us a game that is MAD FUN to play...takes me a good month to beat......and then when i beat it.......give me something PLEASE that makes me feel like the man i am! LOL and again the price...its not OVERPRICED....you are def gonna get what you pay for.......IT"S JUST EXPENSIVE!!! (to some)

rumble missing from the controller does make me sad......but if thats what you are using to judge..................thats cool...one less person that will get to enjoy!!! I DEF think they should have put the rumble in....but i dont think that the lack of rumble is gonna make me loose any sleep

after readin RUGRIPPER's last post............ I to have been around longer than video games....and after reading that post made me realize....almost all of the random idiots that post MY SYSTEM ROCK YOURS SUCKS.....are all people who think first gen games are Ps2, dreamcast...or super NES even............let me take yall back to the land of "PONG" two moving white rectangles the bounce a white square back and forth. Lets even talk about the first "next gen" games...with an unheard of 2 buttons and a D pad!!! INSANE!!!! something to think about

THEROPY!!! i had to post this...i wonder how many of us will still be here posting after the 17th! lol As of right now this message board keeps me going....helps me to pass the time until "IT" arrives~~~ so thanks to all of you who help me out with my free theropy sessions!!!!

wow im impressed!!!!! this board is actually people talking about the ps3 vs. the 360 instead of how great the 360 is!! i guess this is the biggest difference between Playstation fans and 360 clones!!! Most of the playstation fans have a 360...mostly because it came out first and we wanted next gen.......and now we wait for our "Holy Grail" but while we wait we all understand that we will prolly have some disappointments...some problems...and some headaches to put up with.....we all understand we might be stuck waiting for ours to get fixed or for the next shipment to come out so we can replace the one we had!!! But we can admit it might not be perfect right away....where the 360 homers...dont even address the fact the 360 has issues..heat ,destroys disk's if moved while on!!( Still the dumbest oversight ever!) They would just like to point out all the problems that the ps3 has!!! the problem is all the problems the ps3 will have are all speculation...or maybe just 360 voodoo and wishful thinking. I have to say it sounds alot more like some 360 fans are mad because they are 360 fans by default...they already spent the money on a 360 and now they cant afford the PS3 and bot did it piss some people off......maybe some of you should have waited and bought the system ya really wanted!!! its easy to hate the most popular kid in school when you are the one with no games...err......friends so again im not bashing the 360 at all...my problem is more with the ignorant 360 homers that cant discuss their point...they just have a point that PS3 sucks....but have nothing to back it up!!

FLAMETHROWER,,,,KUDOS to you man....someone who actually used a little common sense in his opinion!!! i have a 360 and i am one of the chosen ones that will be getting my ps3 on launch day....(as long as sony doesnt cut the number of units shipped to the US like they did in japan!!)..i can not wait!!! i dont see sony changing the online to much from the way it is now...but then again who knows...new system new options...new headaches...etc! in 12 days we will find out if there will be a change in the way we look at video games.... in my opinion...it might not be a huge change on launch day.....but over the next few years........well lets just say on the 17th when i walk out of my gamestop with my new toy...i just hope i dont pee a little until i get home!
