(yah i dunno the exact figure, but u get the point.) and from recent figures, ps3 is continuing to climb, while 360 is sales are not. ps. for every 1 hd-dvd that sells, 2 blu-ray movies sell" again, theres a limit to how many will sell. statistics show that there will eventually be a level that the playstation 3 stagnates at, and from what i remember the PS3 is only a few days away from being worldwide. 1,600,000 PS3's vs. 10,600,000 Xbox 360's. 320000 PS3's per month vs. about 623529 Xbox 360's by my math

Thats a whole market where the PS3 hasn't launched yet. Once it launches there sales increase for the PS3. Soon worldwide sales go up beyond the 360s and the PS3 gains ground. Do you get that?" what you're describing is exponential growth... you're not taking any factors into account such as the fact that the PS3 is LESS appealing today than it was back at launch when people stole and murdered each other for them, or the fact that the price is still way too high, and it's even higher in Europe than the US. while i do agree that the PS3 sales will increase, i don't think it will make any significant headway. also you're leaving nintendo out. seeing as the Wii has sold about 5,000,000 consoles in about 5 months, that's some serious competition.

All the systems have their advantages and disadvantages. The PS3 will be fine and has a good chance of overtaking the 360 by next year. They're already very close in monthly sales in the US. We'll see how the two compare in Europe. In Japan it's no contest." i think you're forgetting something called math... last i checked 360 had about 9,000,000 (thats "Nine million") more units sold than the playstation 3. even if their monthly sales matched throughout the rest of the year, there would still be about... oh, this is a tough one... i think about 9,000,000 more 360's out there. in other words, sony would still be on the bottom.
