I noticed the page for The Hunter for PC are missing some updates, screenshots and videos.

Screenshots are from pre-beta and there is also a new HD video, both available in high-res/mp4 athttp://www.expansiveworlds.com/press/

A press release about the May release is available here.

The website URL is missing from developer Expansive Worlds Gamespot page: http://www.expansiveworlds.com

With a prebuilt computer you typically get a restore DVD or similar. Essentially what it will do is to reinstall Windows.

CPU will typically be hottest around the center, so the most important place to ensure surface contact is there. Do also consider that the purpose of thermal paste is to compensate for the microscopic irregularities in the surfaces, so having too much may have a negative effect.

Here is a good video showing different methods of applying the grease and how it will spread.

When going over 1GB RAM in usage your computer will start to swap parts of memory onto disk to free real memory, and since you typically have a 5400rpm HD this will be more apparent compared to a fast disc.

On the other hand, you probably will not run that much stuff simultaneously on a netbook, so your RAM needs will probably not be as high as on a stationary computer.

To give you some reference on what to expect in regard to performance... I'm playing SC2 on my MacBook Pro (first unibody model, from 2008) with a9600M GT. On medium settings it runs fine.

Open the Catalyst Control Center, it should display the version number.

Lot's have happened since Avalanche took over development, from now defunct Emote, and formed Expansive Worlds.

A major update containing a new area as well as new animals (including the feral hog) was release earlier this summer. There is a showcase trailer up on Youtube.

Other stuff in the pipeline is pheasant and a clay-pigeon shooting range, the latter was visible in this behind-the-scenes video.

Trackmania Nations is really great fun arcade racing (and conveniently available on Steam). With low settings it should work on an rather old rig.

Depending on what is in that 5 year old rig this might be a good idea or not (game uses same engine as the Just Cause games, so it may be a little bit heavy for a 5 yr old) ... but check out theHunter, available at www.thehunter.com - an open-world, sandbox gameplay, hunting game that it is free to play with no time restriction (membership gives you more animals to hunt).

When you are forced to make a decision but the game has not provided you with any background to know what is right or wrong, if it doesn't matter or what the consequences are. This is especially annoying if one of the choices render you dead. Like "Door A and B identical. Open door A, success, open door B, you're dead"... (ok, really not an accurate description of games today, but you get what I mean...)
