The problem isn't the violence, or how 'realistic' it is. The main issue is the fact that most parents don't have the sense to watch over small kids. Those are the ones who actually have a chance at being affected by it. But I can see where he comes from with the whole, glorifying masochism and sadism, at younger stages if associate violence and sex together for a child it will stay like that for them.

And no, it's not just the parents fault, game dev's, rating systems, and parents need to work together and step it up so it's easier for everyone to stop making children tie things like sex and violence together. Because, when large nations refuse to educate their children about sex, and then focus their 'culture' around it, you're bound to cause problems when kids try to figure things out on their own,

And as for the act of making people numb to violence and gore. That has been going on for literally ages. Humankind has been surrounded with violence since day 1. Only recently have we tired shielding and sheltering people from it. "Immoral" or not, it's in our nature to act like that. You may as well go to a church and get upset at the fact people worship/believe in a higher power there. Just saying violence is bad is self-defeating, so is pinning a collective issue on one small part of the machine.

Are you serious? Not only was that a big strategy thing, but it added a hell of a lot of suspense to the game and helped make it what it is/was. It seems silly to dumb it down like that. Not to mention what everyone else has pointed out in saying the first two are free in the right places. It wreaks of re-hash just for the profit, not to bring new people into the franchise or please old time fans.
