[QUOTE="big_mak123"][QUOTE="ParkCarsHere"]But I haven't played my wii in like about a month and i played ssx blur today nothing was wrong and my wii was on connect 24 so maybe it is only some wiis the have this problem because this has never happened to meWell, people fight all the time over WiiConnect 24, but I'll give you MY experiences with it.
I left WiiConnect 24 on standby all the time, so the yellow light was always on, meaning the console was on. When standby mode is on the console still generates some heat but there is no fan to dissipate it. When you are playing daily or maybe even weekly (not sure how long it takes to overheat)then that is fine, but if you take say a month break like I did, then the console can overheat and break.
I noticed that, after my long period of time of not turning on my console, I was playing The Godfather and weird, green pixels started showing up. I shut off the console completely and left it off for a couple days. Turned it back on and it was perfectly fine. Since then I've left WiiConnect 24 Standby OFF and it has been perfectly fine. No, it wasn't an issue with The Godfather, it was an issue with the console.
Anyways, that's it. It may be an overheating issue if you haven't turned the console on in a while or it may be something else.

That's why I say people fight over this issue all the time. My Wii is perfectly fine too, now that I have Connect 24 off. It could have been a number of factors. All I know is that I left it on Standby for a long time and an issue appeared. After turning standby off, the issue was resolved. That doesn't mean standby itself was a problem, I'm not sure if it was or not. I just know that during standby the console still generates heat with no way to dissipate it, and that can cause problems.
i got this prob with godfather too, when the streets were supposed to be foggy or something the fog would get all pixily and green... i've only had this prob with godfather, and i have always left wiiconnect on since nov. 19. i've never really had anyother wierd probs, and i play my console almost daily
[QUOTE="Hungry_Homer111"]Yeah, I noticed that too. I can't wait to see what they put on the website. Probably won't be too much though, keeping us waiting for E3.remmbermytitans
is this the way ALL new wii games are going to be released? i mean, come on, smash and no more heroes, id DIE if it happened with super mario galaxy
man really i'm getting tired of this, it'd be easier if they would just spring it on us... although they prolly get more hype this way. can't wait for what it's going to be though. even a release date would be good!
tomorrow!! on the official website!!! who's excited!
I've heard this quite a bit recently, but are the Wii's "casual" games hurting gaming overall? I'm not sure if the people saying this are just Wii-haters, so I wanted to see how the Wii owners felt about this topic. There are those that are saying that because the Wii is appealing to traditional non-gamers the hardcore gamers are suffering. Since Nintendo is selling Wiis like crazy, and many people are buying the various mini-game compilations, or other pick up and play type games, Nintendo (and the third parties) are not focusing on the deeper games that are aimed at the traditional gamer (or "hardcore" gamer). What do you think?funky_muzic
how many casual games are out on the computer??? alot. but you don't see it stopping hardcore computer games anytime soon do ya?
