I doubt they would just send you a new one. My blu ray drive broke a couple of days ago, Sony is shipping me a box, and then its a 10-14 day turnaround before you get yours back. I hope I get mine back before thanksgiving.

How long has the whole repair process taken for others who have had their PS3's break?? 

Well I phoned them on sunday and they said they'll come and give me a new one or a refurbished one or something like that on tuesday so tomorraw 8am-6pm lol
