@buccomatic Alright one more then: If you're not PR-related in any way, then why do you feel the need to link to the same damn page every single time you reply?

@q-bert39 @mpeg3s Sadly they're making you pay for the billions in R&D, production facilities, supply chains, retail networks, advertisement, maintenance etc etc...

@buccomatic A. I'l just take your word for it, you should get paid for this propaganda though. B. Man that's pretty special that somehow smaller chips in smartphone will get so smart that they will outpace their larger equivalents in consoles/PCs with the room and power to handle tens of times the processing power. C. Come on man who are you kidding? If that's true the entire movie-industry would've died the moment YouTube launched. This is the last one. I wish OUYA all the best, it sounds like a fun project, just not the damn holy grail that will completely redefine an entertainment industry.

@buccomatic Right, but this then again presents a game developer with a dilemma: Develop a AAA game for smartphones/tablets with a potential market of tens of millions of customers, or develop it specifically for the technically superior OUYA with just a customer base of a few 10 to 100 thousand, which cannot be leveraged to other android platforms with much lower specs. It's pretty much a no-brainer, let alone that the most profitable Android games are advertisement based or rely on a premium version, truly Free to Play doesn't exist on android.Look I'm not trying to knock your console, it's a nice idea, I love indy games, everybody loves them, it can work. Just turn down the hype a few degrees and recognize there is no budget nor incentive for Indy games to churn out the franchises which so many of us love and truly are worth the $60.

@moviequest14 @buccomatic Don't get me started... The Orange Box has to be the most insanely awesome value-for-money package you can buy. Judging by the way game publishers are trying to outlaw secondhand game sales you can pretty much deduct there's a hell of a lot of players who no longer are willing to fork out $60 a pop and will go for deals much quicker.

@strahd01 Sure of course.. But I'm getting a bit annoyed by this blatant PR garbage this guy is spewing out here, trying to sell it off as a direct competitor to the PS3 and xbox360... Let's face it it's just xbox live arcade games based on an F2P model, which is fine. I love indy games... just don't act like it's the second coming.

@buccomatic Come on man.. that stuff may work on housewives, but this is gamespot. We know what "free" to play is and you can't possibly try to make the case that games for OUYA will have the same production values as God of War/Halo/Gears of War/Uncharted etc etc...

@buccomatic I have no doubt they're legit, don't get me wrong ;). I'm just a bit fascinated how people are willing to sink their own cash into a 0 accountability project. Not just fraud, but there's absolutely no guarantee a project will actually succeed.
