It would be nice to see the Jets upset another undefeated team like they did for the titans but lets face it, I dont think my Jets can do it.

[QUOTE="soundmanager216"]

First off, I think Sanchez did ok this past weekend. I am a huge jets fan and I have followed him since I found out we may finally have a franchise QB. First off, he is doing ok at best. Some great passes, some horrible passes, but in the NFL which defenses are really winning games, I think thats to be expected from a rookie. He has already learned to not look at your passer directly the hard way with numerious interceptions, something he didnt have to worry bout in college and has started to fix that problem. He got a lot of attention this offseason because the jets lost the "amazing" farve so what were they to do? Bam we make a move for Sanchex so that got him a lot of attention. The Nameth comments, i feel were BS and i thought "o great, let Sanchez have one bad game and he will get booed by people becuase of that comment" and as you see, people have done that. He is better than a lot of QBS in the NFL and will grow. Will he be the next Manning, Aikman, Flacco, Brees, etc etc etc...how bout we give him a full season to find out?

It doesn't take a full season to see he lacks the arm strength to throw in New York during winter, or any outdoor facility in cold weather climates. He has a noodle for an arm, and no amount of defense reading or accuracy will change that.

Arm strength is not the most important thing for a quarterback, but it matters more than some people think. Imagine what Chad Pennington could have done in the NFL if he had a decent arm. he could have been special. But his girl arm has always been a problem. Sanchez has a similar noodle, and he will always struggle with that.

Main problem with Pennington is the fact he is a pansy and ran from everything, Sanchez at least has heart so maybe because I am a strong Jets fan, I think thats a HORRIBLE comparrison lol...but i do agree, his arm stregnth does need work.

This is on same topic but a little different. I have a PS3, 80gb, backwards compat. I played madden 09 and 10 on there and norm once i get into second quater, the ps3 starts making a whistling/screeching sound. it is annoying but its not that loud but def can hear it. This is the ONLY game that does it. I can play other games for HOURS and never have a problem. Any idea?

Bears Vs Lions - While it was nice seeing the Lions win one, I dont see them winning this. I choose Bears
Bengals Vs Browns - Im not convinced the Bengals are THAT great but you don't have to be great to beat the Browns so I choose Bengals.
Texans Vs Raiders - Slaton is going to have a field day in my opinion, Texans win
Colts Vs Seahawks - Simple choise, Colts win
Titans Vs Jaguars - Upset of week for me, Going with Jaguars,I am not convinced Titans are the same team from last year at all.
Giants Vs Chiefs - Giants will win, especially after big win last week
Patriots Vs Ravens - Ravens defense will beat up on Brady who is no where near in his groove.
Redskins Vs Bucs - Redskins will win because they need too, they just lost to Lions
Bills vs Dolphins - I think the wildcat will take the Bills, so I choose Miami in close one
Saints vs Jets (Game of the Week for me) - While I would love my Jets to win and I think they can, they have to stop Brees. Have to give choise to Saints though.
Broncos Vs Cowboys - Toss up for me, but going to give it to Cowboys.
49ers Vs Rams - 49ers win.
Steelers Vs Chargers - Think Steelers d is going to step it up this week and win it for them.
Vikings Vs Green Pay - While I am still mad Farve killed the start of a great season for my Jets last year, I think this is beyond revenge for him so I expect one of his best games. Going with Vikings.

This is first week doing this. Lets hope for good week!

can I just ask why people are going with the Titans over Jets with the way the Jets have been playing? Titans have not played well, Jets offense is doing better than expected and the defense is officialy rated #1. I just dont see why so many people are thinkin Titans will take it

soundmanager216

Also before everyone jumps the gun, I am not saying the Titans are not good in any sense, i just think they have not showed that they are that dominate where the Jets reallyhave taken crap all season on how Sanchez will not do well (he is doing 'ok') and the jets defense has stepped it big time

LOL. Yeah, you should celebrate ONE win. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I speak the truth, hence your weak retort.LordMaiden

I will celebrate this win for the Jets. They played a great game. And I completly agree the jets have not had a player like Brady and I never said he was not a great QB, but people expected him to just hop back into the season and act like he did not almost have a career ending injury. Thats all I meant by how people need to not treat him like god.

[QUOTE="thequietguy"] LOLOLOL what happened sir?LordMaiden

I wonder where he is now?

I responded to all of this two pages ago. Read better.

I just hope that people realize two things from this game. 1) Brady is not god like all the Boston fans think. He is HUMAN and after an injury like he had and the defense they have now, its not going to be some blowout for them with the AFC East. 2) That the Jets defense is and will be a force to be delt with. Last week they said the jets defense against the texas was not a hard win. Look what Texans did against Tenn. The texans are NOT a bad team. Now they shut the Patriots offense down with NO offense touchdowns! and if i remember correctly that included 1 or 2 red zone attemps.

[QUOTE="LordMaiden"]I'm guessing that anyone who thinks this will be close has more to do with a shaky start by a QB, rather than confidence in the opposing team. If Brady carries his productivity from the second half of week 1 into this game, who in their right mind is going to think the Jets will outscore NE? Los9090

You really got a hard on for that second half vs. the Bills don't ya?

I agree with you on this completly. If the pats play hard and win, then so be it. But he has to face a Jets defense that is much stronger than he has faced in the past and I dont think people realize exactly how good the Jets d has become but mark my word, people will realize they are more than the run of the mill defense.
