@jayjay444 Nahh I got your point, and I agree with you. MS strength is OS since their biggest product is Windows after all. Just wanted to clarify if someone would start bashing on you. As said, you are absolutely right that Sony have much to learn on how to do OS:s.
@jayjay444 X1 are using a modified Windows kernel for dashboard and apps and the Xbox kernel for games. Moderated by Hyper-V which is not an OS though.
@dalua360 Yeah, on that I agree. To be honest, I did not expect the X1 to have a faster OS when loading tabs and so, but I am pleased to hear it is so.
@dalua360 Alright, well it is no doubt the PS3 has better hardware than the 360. After all they had one more year almost to design it. Would be really stupid of Sony not to have better hardware.
But MS:s strong side is OS:s after all Windows is their biggest product. So it is no surprise that the 360 OS runs better than the PS3.
@dalua360 My formulation may be a bit bad. My point is that with more features added, better hardware is needed to run everything. If the amount of features added surpas the upgrades of the hardware, well then performance will be lost. Unless you optimize algorithms etc.
@dalua360 It is, but with alot of new feautures added it may not always be possible to improve for example loading times. 360 OS is usually quite fast at loading tabs and apps, but since the XBO run multiple apps at the same time one could expect that loading would be longer. Now it is not.
