I think Microsoft Understands that if 7 fails, they will have a very, very difficult time recovering from another flop, and it will really give Apple the opportunity to make the market much more competitive (50/50 vs. 80/20 now).
The games they are comparing were all prepared to work on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 simultaneously, minus GTA IV. Look at the foliage in Fallout. Jagged and fat on both consoles, the PC shows a much cleaner, more accurate foliage. I don't care what any review says, I have experience serious lag with GTA on BOTH XBOX AND PS3, usually in high-intensity situations, but not nearly as much with PC.
WARIOBAND3 is incorrect. Xbox 360 is capable of 1080i. I'm not sure of P, but I have mine set at 1080i on my 42in Plasma, with a PS3 laying right beside it running at 1080 also. I've played GTA on both and each suffer from lag, clipping, and weak AA. I don't think I've played a game where graphics have blown me away on either system including gears 1/2(360) and resistance 1/2 (ps3). I think Fallout looks better on 360, and considering it has half the glitches it's clearly a better choice to play it on 360. For those of you who haven't read the "Initial IGN Review of Fallout 3," they mention that if your playing, and a friend signs in to PSN, the game will freeze and crash. I'm not a fanboy of either, but since I own the Xbox and my room mate owns Ps3, I gotta support my hardware.
When it comes down to it you take a look at there anti-aliasing, texture detail, color accuracy and what i noticed was PS3 brighter, but more greyish with neutral bland colors. AJC3317 explains it real well. Look down.
Not a huge deal. The new controllers have all the features of six-axis plus rumble. It just means when your original six-axis breaks you buy a Dual-shock 3. Just one more thing PS3 can do that Xbox can't brag about.
