I run an AMD Phenom II x6 1100t oc to 3.7 per core and 8gb DDR3 ram at 1600, on a Asus Thunderbolt Formula V with x3 Gigabyte factory super clocked 570's, they run around 40-50% with Ambient Occlusion off and 80-90% with it on, and fps zero change around 30-60+ fps, mostly 60 fps (capped ofc). Even at 30fps runs smooth as liquid, weird in other ganes 30fps would look rough. All maxed out with HD texture and water mods etc. It's all to do with optimisation not what gear you have, will get better over time when Nvidia releases new drivers etc.
