@boardsport311: Attachement or not, it sold extremely well. I still use it as a GC BC console because I can put components cables on it (look on ebay for GC components yikes).
@silv3rst0rm: "It's the same for me, I do not know many people who managed to get a Switch so far"
The issue really is that people assume that only major B&M (like BB/GS/WAL) and online stores like Amazon carry them. Truth is a lot a local, smaller stores have them in stock every few days. It took me a few phone calls and 1 week of waiting to get mine (as I posted above).
@gamingdevil800: I think Nintendo will go the way MS and Sony...a mid cycle more powerful switch. Heck, they might stick with this concept for a very, very long time as well and just keep increasing power on it every couple of years yet making the current libraries BC.
@pork7: I suggest you stop regurgitating that "false shortage" myth. When a company has to start shipping via air cargo which is extremely expensive it says a lot that they are trying to speed things up. If you would read up a bit, they are also tackling the issue that they are using some of the exact same components that Apple are using for their devices which in turn becomes a fight as to who gets these components. Gamespot mentions LCD but there also also shortages of NAND flash-memory chips and some components that make the rumble engines in the joycons.
That being said, I got my Switch last week, 1 weeks after I decided it was time to get one. Made a few phone calls to some local stores. They didn't have any but said to call early in the week. All told me that usually have enough to supply for a few days, run out on Fridays and usually Monday and Tuesdays get new shipments in. So I called in on the Tuesday and they got them as they said, reserved one and picked it up and saw they had about 10-15 of them. Today I was picking a few things up at my local Walmart, they were there. So yeah, lots of shortage....
@chiefwiggum16: Yeah I'm so backlogged across several consoles+pc that I won't need this. BUT its a great service for people that are not. That being said if there was a game I do not have and wanted to play right now and see that its on that service and becomes cheaper than just buying it then I would subscribe for a limited time for sure.
