[QUOTE="feryl06"]
people always say that we should do something about it? But what are we going to do about it? the US alone can't curb their contribution to global warming---what makes us think that other nations let alone developing industrial nations will curb their contributions to global warming? there is the outcry of we need to do something, but when it hits your wallet, I think people are less apt to wanna do something.sSubZerOo

Funny you should say that because the US has in the last international meeting has agreed on the smallest reduction in CO2 restrictions of any other country.. We are infact the stingiest country of most industrialized nations when it comes to improving our enviromental technologies.. We are also amazingly so dependent on outside sources of energy that nations such as Brazil has passed us in becoming completely energy efficent.. That seems quite pathetic when Brazil has no where near the wealth of any other nations out there.

Lets not forget we are stingy on alot of things not just enviromental areas, but foriegn aid as well.. Just throwing that out in the wind that the US can have SOOO much improvment.. thats why I was crying out laughing at the republican talks when they all said that they would not chang ea single thing or improve a single thing ht eUS.. THat it was fine the way it is.. Ignorance at its highest level imo...

It would make sense though to be stingy as well wouldnt it? i mean our economy is based on these industries. Brazil is actually a pretty wealthy nation havin the 9th highest gdp in the world, and i seriously think you misunderstand the term "stingy." Thinking what would benefit the nation most is not stingy. As for dogging on the Republicans, i might add this is both parties fault. The democrats hold the majority of the seats, so if its not the democrats fault, Co2 emmissions wouldve decreased recently wouldnt they have? As for ignorance, kinda hippocritical, seeing as how half of your opinion isnt based on fact.

Yea... If it's a big problem, more than likely tech support won't know what to do with it. It's best you take it to a friend who knows what to do or some kind of local PC technician. Maybe we can help out if you explain what's going on with your computer.Ranger_x8b

2nd partition of Hd data becomes corrupt when i move any data (reformat could fix it, but later issues i doubt), keyboard keys respond to the computer as if im pushing it even though the keys are being pushed, or are physically stuck, recovery drive failed almost as soon as i got it, never worked, and ended up being a waste of hd space (one hd, 3 partitions: 2 normal data, 1 recovery) Essentially, they want me to back up all of my data on cds or dvds, as several csrs stated. 140gbs worth of data on dvds is close to 50-60$ for something that could take close to a day backing up rofl. I essentially wanted a refurbished one, and the case manager stated my warranty said i had to get it fixed or attempted as such before replacement. I was just wondering what your guys opinion on the warranty as it is stated

Besides spending over 2-3 hrs each of the last couple days talking to a bunch of CSR's who really dot tknow much about any of my issues, and continue to fail to read my case notes, which i have directly told them to do, ive been lied to about several issues, had me do troubleshooting for issues in which the troubleshooting has no practical application and such, i finally talked to a case manager. Qouted my warranty as such, "IF YOUR HP BRANDED HARDWARE PRODUCT FAILS TO WORK AS WARRANTED ABOVE, YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY SHALL BE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT."

Of course being a company they wanted to repair it, which would consist of reformatting both partitions. Which i directly stated to them is rediculous, considering its a keyboard issue, an hd issue (2nd hd practically failed, might resolve it but a pain), the fact their supposed "recovery drive" has never worked etc, and that i dont want to lose my data.

so i stated under my warranty that it states my sole and exclusive remedy shall be repair or replacement. I really just want a refurbished one, since itd be soooo much easier to deal with, so i said under my warranty i have the option of either. They said i dont and that as it is stated, i have to repair it first, and they suggested i take to a bestbuy etc which is retarded. What do you guys think?
