Good to see them trying something new. The last couple .. 5, 6.. sucked like a hoover on turbo. They either try something new or bin the franchise.

@runstalker: Exactly. Its all about cost. While an expensive GPU will outperform (its damn well better outperform if you are paying for that!!), the entry cost all-in of $400 for a 4K/Near4K console is a fantastic value - even when compared to the base Slim. For owners of 1080p TVs that will not be such a big thing, but the promise of beautiful supersampling 1080p visuals, or higher FPS will show a benefit to those owners.

@SavageEvil: Horizon Zero Dawn was one of the first games shown running on the Pro. You can see full 4K screengrabs from the system on various sites (originates from Sony's site, I believe).

Sony on the other hand.. pulled a 2005 MS and put an outgoing media player in their new console. Not so smart.
