in the UK. im not gonna pay £425+ on the console wheni can get it for £250 if i import it. I know playing games from the UK will work on a US PS3 but the power situation. My friend came back from holiday not long ago and he got one and it works fine for him but i want to be 100% SURE it will work because i will not be able to send ut back. I noticed the power supply is the same a a PC power lead so i assume it will work. caN someone help me out.

i no this is in the wrong forum but i don't seem to get answers in the pokemon ones. OK lets get this straight. US in the UK mainly want to no if we imported this game would we be able to use the pal park. since this game is released now in the US HAS ANYBODY TRIED IT OUT. some peopple say they've used it briefly and it works some say it wont. WHAT is the answer yes or no.

i recently emailed Nintendo.com regarding if i bought a Nintendo DS Lite from the states would the Wi-Fi work in the UK and this is what they said-

My orginal message:

I live in the UK and im planning on buying a US Nintendo DS Lite. If i was to import one will the Wi-Fi features work with my Wireless Router in England. I no if i was to import one and i decided to buy games from the UK i would be able to play them but because the console is from the States will i be able to play Wi-Fi with that game.

They replyed: Hello,

While a DS Lite purchased in the Americas will play games that are purchased anywhere in the world, charging the battery may present a problem due to differing voltage requirements.  For more information, please visit the following web page:

http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/general/internationalcompatibility.jsp

As you expect to use this system on a long-term basis, then I suggest you purchase a licensed AC Adapter for your home country.  Check with local retailers for availability.  You can also contact the Nintendo authorized distributor there for assistance.  For contact information, please visit the web page listed below:

http://www.nintendo.com/corp/distributors.jsp

Please keep in mind that if you purchase a system or game not intended for use in your region, you may have difficulties obtaining service or support.  Additionally, multiplayer play between games made for different regions is not recommended, as we cannot guarantee their compatibility.  Wi-Fi play may also be different if playing a game from one region in another.
Nintendo of America Inc.
R.M. Rickets

Can somebody confirm this for me. Should i go with Ninty and buy a DS Lite in the UK or Purchase a AC adpter. Also from this reply does it mean the Wi-Fi will work in the UK
