I would like to answer this with the knowledge of a good friend who manages a Game Stop in my area. First yes it is alright for them to open the games to prevent theft. Because they are authorized by the software gaming standards to seal the game again when you buy it with a quick seal like you peel off any packaged software. This indicates you have purchased a new game under license and are subject to all the rules of the industry. No returns for cash for any reason on open products. the games are shipped to the stores and then opened by management and the games are filed by name in a file folder to prevent damage. Should you receive a defective game they are always willing to help you get a new one same day. I have never heard of them selling used console's unless you ask for one to save money they are not a fortune 500 company for nothing. They are always in good spirits and can help with any title you are interested in. Trade in your SP games are going to get harder and harder to find. the DSi rocks you wont be sorry! read my review. Good Luck!
