@hillelslovak: Exactly. The Democrats are barely liberal when compared to many liberal parties in many other countries. Hillary Clinton for example supports: mass surveillance, war with Russia and China, intrusive airport security, more military spending, censorship, internet surveillance, the death penalty, de-regulating the banks, more oil drilling, etc.
@magicalclick: @TheWalkingGhost: I live in Canada and I can tell you that the GOP is considered far-right here. The Democrats are considered centrist to right-wing, depending on who you ask. A person like Bernie Sanders could easily become a member of the Liberal party of Canada. I am NOT trying to tell Americans how to live their lives, just put things into perspective when compared to the rest of the world is all I am saying. (Canada is a multi-party system, but even the Conservative party of Canada is to the left of the Democratic party on many issues.)
