HOW TO GET 50+ FRAMES HERE: In Vista: Right click on your game icon in your games folder on the Vista desktop. Select DIRECT X 9!!!!!! NOT DIRECT X 10!!! Why?? Because Direct X 10 is NOT READY YET! There is so much tweaking and patches to go before this power comes into play. Just leave it for now. When the game loads up (Direct X 9), make sure everything is on HIGH. (Very High is disabled on DX9) Put EVERYTHING on HIGH except for Shaders, which you put on Medium, Shadows on Medium, Water on Medium and Textures on LOW! (Believe me, it still looks amazing) Set resolution to 1280X1024. My rig: Duo core 6300, 2gig generic ram, Palit 8800 GTS 320mg, crapblaster cheapo and 19inch monitor. I would LOVE to know what you all experience after this :)

Hey Mindless1987, I just wanted to say that your icon of Yoda rapping is the funniest icon I have ever seen here. I have shown everyone in my office and they could not stop laughing. On the track again, there is another thing we can do to make the game run better. (though it's just obvious rather than non theory) Buy a 22inch monitor (cheap now, 300bucks) and run the game at 1280x720 16x9 mode. Turn up the textures and obviously turn off the AA. Trust me, you won't care a bit about super sharpness when you play this at these framerates.

Guys, I can only stress this once and once only. To everyone with a single core or duo medium end PC, I highly reccommend that you all UPDATE YOUR VIDEOCARD DRIVERS TO THE LATEST VERSION and TURN OFF ANTI-BULLCRAP ALIASING. You WILL get your framerates and you WILL be able to up the graphical resolution and other enhancements. Every complain about every unbelievable game that has come out, have the same stupid posts about how it's a "scam" that these new games are forcing us to upgrade. It is NOT. You need to clean out the registry in your system and update every multimedia driver you can. Have you ever wondered why games run well after you re-install an operating system? Think about it. I ran Crysis on a 6300 duo core 2gig ram, 8800 GtS with a stupid cheap soundblaster on Vista. 1280x1024 with that useless anti-aliasing option completely disabled. 60 plus frames my friends. 60 PLUS. I hope this helps and please excuse the annoyance.

XP & VISTA high qualities look exactly the same. But I think we should all keep in mind that Direct X 10 is a more powerful code than Direct X 9. It will handle larger amounts of visual and audio streams therefore a better performance in framerate (As long as the video and audio drivers are good enough) But because XP has been around for years, it is undoubtebly the best operating system in the world now, especially with all the drivers and tweaks that are there and now. I think Crysis on XP will be the go.

I love a good straight to the point arcade shooter. And therefore I believe COD4 will be the best thing ever. Fast, tough and explosive. The way a midless 1st Person shooter should be.

Geez, this is just ridicolous. Why release this game if it won't run well on anyones systems? What a corporate scam this game has turned out to be. No wonder there are so many hackers out there.
