I agree with that statement. A lot of teams, like the Redskins, Bills, Raiders, etc, have a real shot at having a great team this year. A lot of those teams fans were more willing to buy the game, whereas in other years they would have passed on purchasing the game out of sheer embarrassment that their favorite team has a poor 66 rating.

@BillJr106 They did that for one year.... and that was to compete with Madden. NBA 2K games still sell for 60 dollars. So did the MLB 2K games... I doubt Sega Sports (now 2K) would have kept the price so low.

It's funny people criticize Madden for coming out with an updated game each year... but they are absolutely willing to pay 15 bucks a month to play the same World of Warcraft (which would total 180 bucks a year), fork over 40-60 bucks for an updated Tekken game with more characters, and repurchase Final Fantasy games every time there is the slightest graphical update. Of course, most Madden players won't defend their purchase on Gamespot because they are busy enjoying their game for the next 3-12 months.
