i feel your pain and i didn't even pay for my ps3 i got it free with my mobile contract, Sony really need to pull something special out of the bag because the 360 is leading the way in so many ways.

the ps3`s pad is a joke it's the same as the old ps1 pad with stupid motion sensor

i find it funny that it`s billed as an all in one media center but can't play xvid, wmvhd or mkv and mayby more

the game`s i`ve played are average, gt5 prologue is the best of the bunch but even that has it`s problems one of the bigest is when cars go off track the dust that is kicked up is well pixilated

trophy's??? come on it only supports 1 game right now with less that 10 ( i think ) are going to have them anytime soon where as the 360 as had acceviments from day one witch some people may say are pointless but i like them many time's I've played a game on the 360 and felt like giving up but have played on just to see what the secert acceviments are maybe sad but i was glad i played on and still have many of the games still in my collection

in game music yes i know many others have said this but i`t one of the biggest problems, i hate most in game music and to be-able to have my favourite tracks playing in the background is a must, i mean is there anyone that likes all in game music??? racing game's are the main time i really wish i could bring up the control panel and put on a banging tune instead of the questionable music in game

that lasty few months i had put the ps3 to the back of my mind then one day walking round tesco`s found the phone part and noticed they were giving away loads of free gifts with the phone`s inc a ps3 so thought may as well get it if only for a blu-ray player ( i got the ps3, my sister has taken on the contract and my son has the phone :D )so your probley thinking well what are you complaining about and yes because i got it free i feel a lot less upset about it but there are other people that are spending around £300 for a console that has weak games, weak media play back and needs sony to do something special to pull this around.

before you all start flaming me i`ve been playing game`s for longer than most of you have been around and i`ve had pritty much all the consoles that have come out ( with the exception of all nintendo i just think it`s more of a kiddie console to me ) and i`ve had all the playstations the first of them was awesome there was nothing out there that could touch it then the ps2 it looked amasing so spent £600 to get one when it first come out but sold it for a massive loss a few months later so with the ps3 i thought i would wait and get one, so a year on i have one and was very exited but it was very quickly disappointed, game`s @ 720p apart from gt5 and other newer game`s even though come out over year after the 360, need for speed pro street for example i had it on the 360 and the graphic`s were really good but sold it shortly after because i didn`t play it much and my son didn`t like it ( his got a 360 as well ) then just after getting my ps3 i was looking for bargains at game.co.uk and found a preowned copy for £12.99 and i have to say the difference was amasing the 360 ver was much better graphics wise now you would think with all the power the ps3 has it would look the same or better but it`s just not true ( btw both consoles were connected by hdmi to the same tv (Toshiba 42xv505db) with the same settings on the tv?? :S

sorry this has turned into a bit of a rant but it`s how i feel, i`m no fan boy as i have all 3 next gen systems ( 2x 360`s 1 wii (my little girls) and a ps3 ) also have a gaming pc well 2 my son has one as well and have had most of the other consoles from the old atari to the vic 20 and amiga to most of the old sega consoles and atari lynx and jaguar as well as all 3 playstations and both xbox`s, i`m just a fan of games and also love movies so for me the 360 is my favroite but i hope the ps3 pulls it round as this would put pressure on microsoft to make even better games hopefully cheaper withc is better for all of us not just the fat cats at microsoft and sony :D

don`t forget to add gt5- prologue ( you know the demo you have to pay for :D ) but glad someone has brought up forza 2, i have all 3 (4 inc my pc) consoles in my house and by far my favroite is the 360, i can actualy play more formats ( movies ect ) on my 360 ( due to reacent os upgrade ) than my ps3 when i thought the ps3 was the king of the media center consoles? :S

don`t forget you can get a 360 for less than a wii and about half the price of the ps3 and all but the arcade one come with a hd cable and even though the arcade only come`s with a scart lead the new one`s all come with a hdmi port got my 360 at xmas/*-( the elite even come`s with a hdmi cable something i was shocked the ps3 didn`t come with ( come on sony put a dam hdmi cable with you console they are only about £2 online and you more than likly only pay pence for them puting a sd cable with a next gen console is crazy )

out of the 3 most of the games coming soon are eather 360 only or are out on both formats apart from gt5 (full fat version ) and fall of man 2 i`m quite looking forward to that one hopefully it will live up to the ps3`s hype and have some awesome graphic`s :D

very easy i was bricking it the first time i opened my £2500 pc my nan bought me :D to upgrade the graphics card ( it was an old pentium 75MHz can't remember how much ram i had at the time i think it was something stupid like 32-64Mb :D and the card was an old matrox mystique ( remember back that far anyone? top of the pile back then was awesome running quake :D ) but was very easy indeed and shortly after that rebuilt the hole thing and have been doing it ever since,

just remember to take your time and make sure you don't touch any of the contacts on the cards oh and don't forget to shop around there are loads of deals on PC parts and prices are dropping all the time.

sorry i have to say this, i have all 3 (4 if you count the gameing pc :D) next gen consoles so you can`t really call me a fan boy so please don`t start on that one with me, anyway i`ve only just got my ps3 (would have got one age`s ago but waited over a year for my xbox so there would be game`s out, so just got my ps3 and i run out to buy some games for it, i got fall of man and gt5 prologue to start with, r-fom was ok the first part of the game was average but got into it and quite liked it :) gt5 on the other hand was pritty good but can`t seem to beable to upgrade your car with better parts witch i was a little disapointed with but the graphics were pritty dam good (witch i was expecting :) )

then after shopping around decided to get need for speed pro street and r6 vagas 2 this is where things start going wrong with the ps3 i`ve played prostreet on the 360 and r6 vagus 2 on the pc and both had better graphics (the ps3 versions were a little grainy and the colour`s were a bit lacking) witch for all the hype about the ps3 i was quite shocked at and as for other games out now and coming soon there isn`t much i can see i really want apart from tekken 6 :D, i might see about mgs 4 but apart from that all the game`s for the forseeable future are eather 360 titles or are out on both.

just so you know both games i compaired above were displayed on my toshiba 42xv505db with the same settings and the same hdmi cable apart from r6 vagas 2 was feed from my pc with a dvi to hdmi cable i haven`t as yet tryied anyother games like this so might be a bad port or something.

anyway 1 last thing before i let you all get back to the front lines of the console war :D, why is it game`s on the ps3 (with the exception of gt5) are only 720p? i know it was like this at first with the 360 but the ps3 has been out a year now and 2 years behind the 360 surely this was enough time for the game developers to sort this out and make true hd games @ 1080p?
