Most of my friends only play PES on PS3 because of this problem.

Unless you can get a third party controller with a better d-pad I'm not aware of any other solution.

Maybe practice with the analogue stick?

Can I use the analog stick to move player instead of the D-Pad? I tried to change it from controller config but couldnt! this is total mess I cant do special moves :(

I am tired of playing Pro Evolution soccer with the original Xbox 360 controller; the D pad really sux, compared to PS3 I can use the D pad and control players much much easier, is there any suggestions? other controllers that can work for Xbox 360 with a reliable D pad? Thanks.

- You should only get a Xbox 360 if you are really interested in MS exclusive games.

- Xbox 360 Arcade will work online without additional HD but it may not work for all games, I have an arcade and I played Halo 3, Street Fighter 4 &PES 2009 online.

- Arcade has HD output, but you will have to buy it separetly; costs nothing from amazon.com.

I already have a PS3 and have been pondering whether to get a 360 arcade seeing as they are the cheaper option and I can use the online service. Are there any advantages to getting the Elite edition except for the hard drive and are arcade models more prone to RROD?

EDIT: Also do arcades have HD output?
