well for one the market... sure WOW can try to reach to casual gamers, but 99% of them arnt goign to pick it up and pay $15 a month. the 360 on the otherhand is directed at the casual market, and most people in the casual market do not like to pay for services but there are those willing. In the end its all about the market, WOW had a hardcore fanbase backing it up form the start, sure it was risky making a fee behind it, but blizzard did a good job wiht wow. The original xbox had live payments that cost more than on the 360, and look how the original xbox did in the casual market
i have my week one 60GB PS3 still intact (i knew someone who worked at EB so he put aside a PS3 for me...wasnt worth the money though) i also have my week 3 wii (same person helped me) and i also still have my week 1 xbox (yeah its still working:P)

i really dont see how you can say its not worth it, if you plan on playing online and you have a wirless network the PS3 is already better value $300 for 360, $50 for XBL, $100 for wifi, not to mention the rechargable packs on the 360 controllers, or if you have money to kill you get AA batts lol and i mean c'mon ps3 is also a BD player:P:P:P

That's one of the things that bothers me. Almost everybody I know has a 360 and plays online together for a nice social time. I only know a handful of people with PS3's (all asian coincidentally :P) when I find out that another one of my buds got a PS3, I go nuts lol. But for 360, I see that its almost given that a bud of mine has it.
Just something that annoyed me :D
