Is it worth it to try and replace the drive myself? It doesn't look that difficult to do if I can get the drive. I work in IT so I feel pretty comfortable opening the case.

I am having the issue where my PS3 wont play Blu-Ray movies. It wont play any movies. It plays DVD's fine and Blue-Ray games. The Blu-Ray movie disk will be inserted and the disc image just spins. You here it try to grab the disk again but nothing happens. I have done a factory reset on the PS3, and this did not fix the problem. PlayStation support told me that it could be the Blu-Ray format. Does this make sense to anyone? The next step that suggest was to pay the $80 and send it into support. Does anyone have any suggestions before I look into sending the PS3 in?
