Geometry Wars Galaxies has connectivity too. You can download a working version to the DS when you buy the Wii version and if you have both you can unlock another galaxy.

Picture quality is top priority when it comes to TVs people. You can have a cheap 1080p LCD that has a terrible contrast ratio out performed by a 720p high quality plasma or lcd. Most of the 1080p LCDs that are below 2 grand are routinely out classed by 1 grand plasmas.

Ok if you selected 16:9 in the wii menu then games that are 16:9 compatible will be widescreen automatically. If the game is 4:3 it will be stretched and the picture will be slightly distorted. Most early wii games were developed on Gamecube dev. kits so more than likely that is the reason for the bars on the sides of your screen. The reason for this is old analogtube tvs had overscan of about 5 to 8%so gamecubes had underscan of about 5% to compensate for this.As for component cable video quality... without question they will clean things up a bit; but just dont expect a huge improvement.
Until very recently most Wii games had underscan built into the games themselves for some idiotic reason. That is why your getting black bars. SMG,Geometry wars, and links crossbow training have no underscan and fill up the entire screen. I have these games and can confirm this. Hopefully this will continue.

Let me pipe in on the "Uncharted is awsomeness" thread. I can't believe that some of you that only own the PS3 would even think twice about heading to the nearest store to pick itup. I own all of the consoles and have most all the must haves on each. Uncharted is probably the best presented story meshed with the best visuals and the blended with some of the best gameplay I have ever seen. I will admit that I have never really been wowed by my PS3 and I dare say to some of you that I feel that the 360 is a better overall package. This game has single handedly turned my opinion of where Sony is going this gen. I told my wife after 2 hrs of gameplay that the 360 is in trouble if Sony keeps pumping out games like this. This game is not in any way a rent... it is a must buy.
