It should be mentioned that the heroes from past Fire Emblem games who are summoned by their respective Emblem Rings are NOT the actual heroes, but spirtual incarnations of them. For example, Emblem Marth is not the actual Marth from the first Fire Emblem game ("Shadow Dragon"). This is in contrast to the gacha mobile spin-off title Fire Emblem Heroes where the heroes from past games who are summoned by the player are the actual characters.

I wonder why the Chinese New Year is now called the Lunar New Year. It is not as if only the Chinese celebrate their New Year based on the lunar calendar. What Jews and Muslims? Also, it is interesting that the Lunar New Year occurs on January 31st this year even though the first new moon of 2022 occured weeks ago on January 2nd.

Zeng Xiancheng is a name of a Chinese man, to let reviewer Richard Wakeling know. Zeng is his family name while Xiancheng is his personal name. It is odd to use the third-person plural possessive adjective "their" to refer to him.

Since I believe in high standards and Age of Empires IV does not live up to these standards, I will make a pass on it. Too bad as I was interested in this game.

At the time of typing this comment, Wave 2 of the Expansion Pass has yet to be available to play. I assume that it will be available by 6 p.m. PDT or at midnight, as the 29th is its release day.

Nintendo will only change its current ways only if it received actual and serious competition in the gaming market. At this time, it has a monopoly on the market it currently controls and has no incentive to improve its products or services due to a lack of any competition (hence the below-average service found in Nintendo Switch Online). Nintendo has a monopoly of a gaming market to itself while Sony and Microsoft are the ones that are competing against each other and unwilling to compete against Nintendo of the market it currently monopolized. The gaming market is actually a two-party system with Sony and Microsoft with Nintendo as a detached third-party doing its own thing and unaffected by the other players. The gaming industry needs competition.

"Out of stock" or "unavailable" from the retailers listed on this article. I had been deciding for the last few days whether to cancel my pre-order for the Switch OLED model and wait until April 2022 as I wanted to quickly repay my debts, but with the availability issues, I may decide to buy it anyways. With the huge demand for the OLED model and with the worldwide chip shortages, I expect it will be difficult to buy one six months latter in April 2022 when my debts has shrunken greatly to where they are currently. After the OLED purchase, it will be my last video game-related purchase until April 2022 as I need to repay my debts.

The Game Boy was not the first handheld game console and the first with dedicated cartridges (both goes to the Milton Bradley Microvison in 1979), but it was the one that popularized the handheld console concept which the Microvision was unable to do a decade before. Without the success of the Game Boy, there would have not been successors like the Nintendo 3DS, the PlayStation Vita, and the hybrid Nintendo Switch.

It took GameSpot several hours to post this news, as I have heard about it on other gaming sites hours before. If the Switch OLED model is missing 4K support due to the global chip shortage due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is unfortunate. However, a beefer Switch model would only increase the price beyond the $350 that the upcoming OLED model will be selling for. Would people who buy Nintendo systems are willing to pay at least $400 for a Switch model with a OLED screen with 4K support?

Since the announcement for the next Xenoblade Chronicles game was delayed early this year, the upcoming Nintendo Direct should be the right time for the announcement. Even with the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Monolith Soft now has the time to announce the game and provide Nintendo Direct viewers early details about it. As someone who completed Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition and its extra epilogue Future Connected, I wonder whether the upcoming game will tie with Future Connected.
