@craigtl: the issue with Ghostbusters wasn't that it was all women, it was that it was all women to please a radical segment of society that publicly demonizes men and spreads the lie that women are somehow being "held back" by men. The actual movie itself was a man hating fest.
Forcing a race/sex change of beloved characters makes something not only inauthentic, but alienates the fan base being most of the examples are done not to "empower" anyone, but to spite whites/males. This is blatantly obvious in the Ghostbusters example.
