I don't have to beat the game to know I don't like it. are you trolling? plus, why would i come on here and say the game is a 6 and then beat it? i have a ton of better games to play while i wait for BF3 and skyrim like starcraft 2, the witcher, dragon age for pc, dawn of war 2, and shogun 2. you know games that are hard without resorting to cheap tactics. beat the first dragon age on nightmare and get back to me. i'm not flexing my nuts but you seem to be implying that i shy away from a challenge. that is not the case, i just know cheap/lazy dev. tactics when i see them. Another thing I forgot to mention that has nothing to do with the actual gameplay is the fact that CE states and pictures in the marketing that it will include the soundtrack and strat guide and making of disc only you give you a little crappy credit card for the download of said items. lamesauce false advertising.
Let me start off by saying that I really wanted to like this game, but after playing WoW for 9 months the level of BS i'll put up with from a game is very low. First off, I see a lot of people giving it 9-10 in the user reviews. I don't think those reviews are objective at all. I mean, it's not the worst game i've ever played, but it damn sure ain't perfect either. There is some serious slowdown in a lot of areas in the game. I'm talking like 15fps sometimes. i'm only guessing at the frame rate from my experience with PC games. The lock on feature is clunky at best. the fact that this is a "realistic" RPG and there is no stab move to use in narrow corridors is laughable considering you're the "hero" of the game. I'm a hero but i can't figure out how not clang my sword off of the wall everytime i attack something in a hallway? Clunky mechanics and technical issues aside, the game is artificially hard. Lazy stuff like no manual saves makes the game seem longer and more difficult than it really is. Another cheapo difficulty booster is the fact the buttons are not remappable. Is anything more cheap the enemies respawning at checkpoints? I understand they put that in so that you can grind souls, but that itself is a lazy move to make the game artificially longer than it really is. They should have balanced the game in such a way where you don't need to grind out enemies in order to move on. Grinding is not fun, that's why i stopped playing WoW (another game that is built on artificially drawing stuff out in order to keep you paying). Its inexcusable for a nonMMORPG to be forcing you to grind. I could overlook the technical glitches, but the cheapness is too much for me to handle so I had to sell this game two days after i bought it. If i had to give it a rating I would rate it a 6.
