@KBFloYd: After looking through my list, I felt that I could have probably moved Baby Park down out of the top tens... I like some of the tracks much better than it, but I do love the chaoticness in it too. I like your opinions, though! And thank you so much :)

I was kind of bored and I really didn't know what to do, so I thought "Hey, why not rank all of the Mario Kart 8 tracks?" And here I am. Keep in mind, I have never played Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but the tracks in Deluxe are exactly the same as they are in the Wii U version. This also MY opinion and should be taken with a grain of salt. Feel free to share your opinions/how you would adjust my list in the discussion.

48. GCN Dry Dry Desert

(Banana Cup)

Alright, did you really expect anything else to come in last other than this monstrosity? This and the next two are the only 3 races in the whole game I dislike. I fail to find any enjoyable aspect of this race track whatsoever. It was already one of the worst from Double Dash!!... why did Nintendo choose to recreate this? Also, the oasis part is very shoehorned in. Not to mention this track has the blandest music in the franchise, hands down.

47. GCN Sherbet Land

(Leaf Cup)

The only thing going for this atrocious track is that it happens to be slightly better and more visually appealing than its other GameCube counterpart. It's a very bland, uninteresting track that really isn't fun. And the "shortcut" actually isn't a shortcut... it takes longer to use it than using the actual TRACK!

46. Bone-Dry Dunes

(Special Cup)

By far the worst of the new tracks introduced in Mario Kart 8. There's not much that's interesting about this track and the final turn after the gliding section is miserable. There's not much else to say about this track other than it's a disappointment.

45. N64 Toad's Turnpike

(Shell Cup)

I'm sorry if I offend you by saying this, but I seriously don't know why so many people love this track as much as they do. The music is bland, the track is bland, the cars are irritating. It's definitely not as annoying as Mario Kart Wii's notoriously awful Moonview Highway, but it's still not good. It's just okay... and that's it's problem.

44. Twisted Mansion

(Flower Cup)

Honestly when comparing this to the semi-good Mario Kart DS Luigi's Mansion track, I prefer the latter of the two. Sure, this has anti-gravity, and it uses the anti-gravity fairly well, but it's just not exciting. Also, there's really no obstacles at all, except for the hammers at the end of the track and the boos that hover in the gliding section (which they still don't do much. If you bump into a boo you just continue unscathed with your character just making a yelp.)

43. 3DS Neo Bowser City

(Bell Cup)

The worst of the DLC tacks isn't neccessarily bad, it's just slightly bland. One of my least prefferred tracks in Mario Kart 7 was redone into a flashier, prettier track for Mario Kart 8, and, unfortunately, not much has changed. On the plus side, the setting of the track is awesome. On the negative side, it's still boring and tasteless, and a few of the corners are still dreadful to try to squeeze past.

42. Ice Ice Outpost

(Triforce Cup)

The problem with Ice Ice Outpost is that it has a great concept that was executed slightly poorly. It's not a bad track, per se, but it's not great, either. It's definitely a little bit boring at parts and the shortcuts are too easy and aren't really effective. The big let-down with this track, though, is that its splitting gimmick wasn't great. The tracks didn't trail around each other or anything, they just overlapped each other occasionally. Nintendo could have gotten extremely creative with this track but missed the opportunity. It was disappointing.

41. GBA Cheese Land

(Crossing Cup)

This track is actually okay. I like it, it just has a lot of flaws and design issues. Specifically, the chain chomps are layed out in a couple of terrible positions on tight corners. They are also humongous and ridiculously difficult to avoid. The music is really jazzy, however, and the track looks much better in 3D graphics than 2D, like in Super Circuit.

40. Wii Grumble Volcano

(Lightning Cup)

Not a bad track, either, it's just tedious to get through and the color pallete is dull. The most colorful thing in this entire track is the gliding pad on one of the floating platforms. The music is also not the series' best, but it's at least far superior to Dry Dry Desert's soundtrack. Like Neo Bowser City, this track does also get its setting right, which explains the color palette issue. I still wish more color would have been added.

39. DS Wario Stadium

(Leaf Cup)

Wario Stadium was one of the more bland tracks in the DS entry, and I didn't like it nearly as much as the other tracks. It's still quite boring in Mario Kart 8, but the anti-gravity section does add some fun to it. It's still pretty boring, however.

38. N64 Rainbow Road

(Lighting Cup)

My least favorite of the 3 Rainbow Roads in Mario Kart 8 is still fun, just horribly short. The original N64 version was painfully boring, and the remake in this version is so much more enjoyable. It is a shame that it is so short, though. The remixed music is pretty awesome, however.

37. N64 Royal Raceway

(Banana Cup)

Yet another race track from the Banana cup that hasn't proved itself to be great. Royal Raceway is fun and enjoyable, there's just not much that is memorable about it, sadly. It does have the catchy circuit tune from Mario Kart 64 to support it, though!

36. Sweet Sweet Canyon

(Mushroom Cup)

It's pretty good and fun. I just can't help thinking it's a ripoff of Sugar Rush from Wreck-it Ralph. There's also not any good shortcuts. The one at the end of the track through the donut hole that just proves to be a bit hard to maneuver around the tight corner there.

35. N64 Yoshi Valley

(Leaf Cup)

Yoshi Valley is a very enjoyable track that I quite like, but it suffers from the same thing Ice Ice Outpost suffers from. It can't execute its good idea correctly. The sections of the track are horribly balanced and some are up to 15 seconds faster than others. It's still a fun racetrack with great music.

34. 3DS DK Jungle

(Banana Cup)

I find it amusing that this was placed into the Banana Cup, considering Donkey King is an ape. Anyways, it was a great track in Mario Kart 7 and it's great in this game, there's just a lot of better tracks in this game. The anti-gravity section wasn't necessary. Just saying.

33. Rainbow Road

(Special Cup)

I didn't hate this Rainbow Road as much as a lot of people did, but I will agree. It doesnt have the same magic that exists in every other Rainbow Road in the series. I also feel as though the splitting track section could have been done better. The splitting section was executed better than Ice Ice Outpost and Yoshi Valley, but it still wasn't that good. Not to mention the fact that the shortcut at the end of that area also makes no sense.

32. 3DS Pirhana Plant Slide

(Lightning Cup)

This track was never my favorite Mario Kart 7 track, but it's still a lot of fun in both 7 and 8. I also really enjoy its soundtrack. The underwater section has always been a bit irritating in Mario Kart 7, but it's kind of worse in this version. It is still a really good track that I enjoy, it's just not great nor memorable.

31. DS Tick-Tock Clock

(Lightning Cup)

I loved the Tick-Tock Clock in the original DS version, but this one feels like a bit much. It doesn't feel like the Tick-Tock Clock anymore, which had crazy turns and a simple backdrop. It feels as though they thought that fans of the Orginal DS version would appreciate them going over the top with adjusting the track.

30. Mario Circuit

(Flower Cup)

This is one of the tracks that really utilizes the Anti-Gravity mechanic of the game extremely well. It also has a super jazzy soundtrack to go along with it and the whole anti-gravity set-up just screams "trippy". It's extremely well done, but it's also not the most fun track in the game.

29. Mario Kart Stadium

(Mushroom Cup)

Usually the opening track to a Mario Kart game is boring and not that great, but Mario Kart 8 takes no hesitations and goes into it full swing with a brilliantly designed track and great music that amazingly utilizes the main theme song of Mario Kart 8. It doesn't quite use the Zero Gravity to its full potential, but it is nevertheless breathtaking to plunge downwards at a crazy speed in 200cc.

28. Wild Woods

(Crossing Cup)

The problem with Wild Woods is that there's a lot going on. I feel like this track has an idea of what it wants to be, but, sort of like Ice Ice Outpost, it gets executed poorly. It's still a fun track and is absolutely INSANE in 200cc, but there's specific areas of the track that make you forget you're supposed to be on a racetrack in the middle of the woods. Specifically, the water slide section.

27. Big Blue

(Bell Cup)

The lesser of the two F-Zero tracks is a tad bit long with a bit too much going on. It has the same issues that Wild Woods contains. It doesn't execute its setting very well. When I'm racing on Big Blue, I often forget that I'm racing above a giant body of water. Sure, there's the occasional stream of water on the track but that's all, really. It's fun, but not amazing or anything. And let me just say that it needs at least 150cc to be fun, which is a let-down for those of you that like to race on 100cc or even 50cc (for some reason).

26. Bowser's Castle

(Special Cup)

This track is pretty fun. It's better than the Mario Kart 7 version, which isn't saying much as that is one of my least favorite Bowser Castle tracks in the entire series. I think that the chaos of this track works, though. It just keeps you on your feet and aware because there's SO MUCH going on! It's definitely on the better side of the Special Cup tracks, especially when compared to the abysmal Bone-Dry Dunes. There's just something about this specific Bowser Castle that doesn't quite live up to my standards. The Mario Kart Wii one is still my favorite in the series, closely followed by its DS counterpart.

25. Dolphin Shoals

(Star Cup)

Now, let's get something straight. I like this track a lot. Much more than other people seem to like it. I do enjoy the underwater mechanic that was first introduced in Mario Kart 7, but this track does have a miserable middle section. No, not the giant eel section. The pipe area. It's so hard to maneuver through this section that it gets quite irritating. That said, the anti-gravity, gliding, and dolphin hoop sections are still really fun.

24. SNES Donut Plains 3

(Banana Cup)

A lot of people argue that the Leaf Cup is the weakest cup in the entire game, but I'm putting my foot down. Banana Cup is the weakest. It first opens with the horrific Dry Dry Desert and then continues into this track that shows that Simple is actually still quite fun and then continues into "okay" territory with its final two tracks. This track is so simple with a great remix of the original SNES soundtrack and I love it so much. It's not as good as the rest of the tracks on here but it's still really fun, and quite short.

23. Mute City

(Egg Cup)

The first Egg Cup race to be listed on here happens to be one of the two F-Zero tracks. It's a lot better than Big Blue in my opinion, but it still doesn't offer much other than an F-Zero theme. It's pretty fun, but unfortunately it's only fun when played in at least 150cc. Like Big Blue.

22. Excite Bike Arena

(Egg Cup)

A stale tribute to the classic game, Excite Bike. It looks like a Baby Park that was stretched and ramps and bumps were added to it. Not much else to say. It is still quite fun at the same time, though.

21. DS Cheep Cheep Beach

(Shell Cup)

A good track from Mario Kart DS that is improved in Mario Kart 8, but isn't phenomenal or anything. It's has a gorgeous color palette, something Grumble Volcano lacks. It's has a pretty good soundtrack and the added shortcuts are very useful.

20. SNES Rainbow Road

(Triforce Cup)

The best of the three Mario Kart 8 Rainbow Roads. (Yeah, THREE!) It is simple and fun, it doesn't have any unnecessarily thrown-in Anti-Gravity sections, and the remix of the original SNES music is fantastic. It is a proper tribute to the original SNES Mario Kart. I love it and play it quite often. It's definitely not as long nor as flashy as others, but its simplicity is nice.

19. Shy Guy Falls

(Flower Cup)

A lot of people love this track dearly. I like it a lot, I just don't love it. Dearly, at that. I will say that it is very exhilarating to drive up the waterfall and down another one. Some parts of the track are hard to maneuver, but at least it's not Bone-Dry Dunes. Also the music is fantastic for this course. And come on, it's Shy Guy! He's great!

18. Toad Harbor

(Flower Cup)

Toad Harbor is such a fun racetrack. I do love it. I like the real-world setting that more and more racetracks seem to be taking on. The shortcuts in this racetrack are also pretty useful too. But let's be honest... is there anything more exciting than jumping off of the anti-gravity walls and soaring down the slope on the boost pads towards the final turn?

17. Thwomp Ruins

(Mushroom Cup)

This is another one of those tracks that is split between people loving it and those that don't really enjoy it. I'm obviously in the group that loves it. Is the use of thwomps on racetracks used a lot? Sure. But on this track it feels natural! You can zoom around them on the anti-gravity shortcuts or fly below the one above the pond. Not to mention, the track changes slightly by adding a gliding section on the second lap. It's always nice for a track to change slightly after the first lap. I will say that the anti-gravity was unnecessary at the final area of the track. Also I love the underscore for this track.

16. Dragon Driftway

(Egg Cup)

Boy, oh, boy does the name fit this racetrack! So much drifting is required to make it through this racetrack it's not even funny! The track is very exciting with a fitting soundtrack. The anti-gravity is used fairly well. I'm just being nit-picky, but I wish that Nintendo had decided to do more with the anti-gravity. You go upside down for a short time and that's really the only notable thing about the anti-gravity in this track. The color palette of the track is also gorgeous and really gives you a strong East Asia vibe.

15. 3DS Music Park

(Leaf Cup)

This was one of my favorite tracks from Mario Kart 7 and it still holds up quite well in the enormous line of Mario Kart 8 tracks. I will admit, though, that it just isn't the best. The jumping musical notes part is a bit annoying at times. The final shortcut with the tambourine is extremely difficult to use and some of the obstacles are too easy to avoid. The music is pretty good, but it's not the game's best, which is shocking considering the track is solely about music.

14. Wii Moo Moo Meadows

(Shell Cup)

Maybe it's just nostalgia for my family member's ranch or the fact that this track is short, sweet, and fun that put this up here. Either way, you have to admit that the landscape is so gorgeous. The added gliding section is nice and this track has a nice peacefulness about it with its soothing music. It's much better than the Wii original.

13. GBA Ribbon Road

(Bell Cup)

If Pixar were to make a racing game, this is what the Toy Story themes track would resemble. This track is extremely fun and it's music is awesome. The concept of the track is terrific and it very much improves upon the original from Super Circuit.

12. GBA Mario Circuit

(Shell Cup)

Probably one of the more boring tracks in the entire Super Circuit game is actually surprisingly awesome in Mario Kart 8. The anti-gravity section, while definitely show-horned into the track, is short and sweet. It doesn't exactly feel necessary, per se, but it still adds more excitement to the track. The gliding shortcut was also a nice addition to the track. The remix of the music is great and the backyard baseball vibe here is fantastic.

11. Cloudtop Cruise

(Special Cup)

Easily the best of the four tracks from arguably the weakest Special Cup in the entire franchise, Cloudtop Cruise does not disappoint. It has a dynamic soundtrack that gives a Mario Galaxy feel, it has a wonderful track design, a couple of great shortcuts (one of which is tedious to use) and gorgeous scenery. I don't like the lightning striking on the Boost-Pads in the thunderstorm very much, mainly because sometimes it's hard to tell where lightning will strike. Other than that minor issue, I love this track dearly.

10. Wii Wario's Gold Mine

(Triforce Cup)

We have made it. The Top Tens. Coming in at #10 would be one of the better tracks from Mario Kart Wii that was much improved in Mario Kart 8. The fact that the mine carts now give you boosts alone is enough to convince me to put this track up to at least #20. It's great music and quirky track design are what bring it up this high, though.

9. Water Park

(Mushroom Cup)

The best track from the Mushroom Cup, Water Park. This track gives off such an enjoyable vibe and I love it so much. The music is wonderful, the gliding section is wonderful, the anti-gravity section is wonderful, EVERYTHING is wonderful!

8. GCN Yoshi Circuit

(Egg Cup)

A great track selection from Double Dash!!... especially after the terrible decision to add Dry Dry Desert and Sherbet Land into Mario Kart 8. Honestly, Yoshi's outline is perfect for a racetrack and the music, of course, is fabulous. I love this track so much. There's just a few that happen to be better than it.

7. Super Bell Subway

(Bell Cup)

When I first played this track, I wasn't that impressed by it. As I got used to it, though, I gradually began to love it. It's now one of my favorites from the entire game because of just how brilliantly the track is designed. I love every second of this track (except for the seconds in which you're trapped between two different trains) and I hope to see it return in future Mario Kart games.

6. Hyrule Circuit

(Triforce Cup)

This is an amazing track. No doubt about it. It has a perfect Legend of Zelda vibe going for it. It has the main theme playing in the background, coins are replaced by rupees, the item boxes make the opening chest noise from the Zelda games, Piranha Plants are recast for Deku Babas, and somehow, it WORKS as a track! You even get to boost off of the Master Sword! How cool is that?

5. Animal Crossing

(Crossing Cup)

The track may be simple, yes, but it is another track that uses the simplicity to its advantage. It randomly changes between the four seasons, offering something new and unique for each season. The 4 different soundtracks for the track are amazing. I also like that there wasn't any unnecessarily thrown-in anti-gravity sections.

4. Mount Wario

(Star Cup)

Sorry, guys! I love this track a lot, but it isn't my all time favorite! The track is one of few that use the surprisingly fun section set-up from Mario Kart 7 in Mario Kart 8. It utilizes the anti gravity really well and the final slope on the ski hill is freaking heart-stopping, let's be honest. The ski-hill vibe is also super nice. It's music is very suiting, too.

3. GCN Baby Park

(Crossing Cup)

Gone is the boring rendition of the original GameCube track on the DS version! Mario Kart 8 restored the track to the chaos that it withheld in Mario Kart Double Dash!! The soundtrack is better than ever with its increasing speed. It's the one track that you're most likely to lap or be lapped (or even both!), and just everything about this track works. I love it dearly.

2. Sunshine Airport

(Star Cup)

The vibe of this track works perfectly. The music is wonderful and it actually feels like an actual airport. The one complaint I can find about this track is that the anti-gravity section didn't need to be anti-gravity. Other than that the boarding section is a load of fun, and just everything is great in this track.

1. Electrodrome

(Star Cup)

This is such a wonderful track. It's like Music Park, but in techno and it's just BETTER! I love the use of the anti-gravity in this track, the disco-party feel is awesome and I find myself replaying this racetrack A LOT. It's number one spot proves that Star Cup is the best Cup in the entire game! Probably one of the best Star Cups in the whole franchise, too! Electrodrome, in my eyes, is the best track in all of Mario Kart 8.
