Where have I defended Trump? Is this the part where you make stuff up to make yourself feel less basic? Just asking where you've been?
You reacted to a criticism about him with an orange man bad meme. If it offends you to be seen as a trump supporter don't react that way.
It´s always funny to see you come up with bad arguments. Also, no one cares if you critique Trump, it just gets old when it comes from the "orange man bad" reasoning instead of actual valid reasons.
How about not abdicating our position to foreign influence? How about supporting those who've helped us in a shared interest fighting ISIS? How about showing that we are not ones to symbolically abandon our allies, regardless of whether it's happened before?
There are very valid reasons to be there respective to national interests. Is the Right naive enough to believe that we helped the Kurds out of the goodness of our hearts? That we're there for no other reason than anyone else? We are there also to protect ourselves by assisting others who would bring the fight to our shores, to lend confidence to others in the future who would do the same.
This is incredibly myopic on Trump's part. Further, he gave a mandate to them. Was there any actual efforts of diplomacy setting deadlines? Discussing conditions? Contingencies? Or was this just the usual Trump statement, then he does nothing, and if they don't do what he says, he pulls out? That seems to be his style of governance: make demands of others, do nothing, then abandon them.
