Future Shop Canada having $10 off preorders for the weekend. Not as good as the 15% off at Best Buy for console games but better deal for 3DS titles.

I've preordered Kirby for $30, Smash Bros 4 3DS $35 and MK8 for $55 since I missed the BB sale.

The key to these deals is having them as separate orders. Makes cancelling a breeze if better deals pop up since you can still keep what you want.

I heard about the Best Buy sale but decided to pass. Now that I think of it, I should've grabbed Kirby and MK8 since they'll be released before this year's E3 sale (if there is one).

As for DK, I remember there was a level or two in World 5 that drove me crazy as well. :P

Finally got my hands on Rayman Legends Wii U for 20 bucks.

I was waiting for a price drop but then it was like all PS360U copies vanished off the face of the earth. My local Future Shop of all places randomly got one copy in.

I'm probably gonna get both versions. With Smash 3DS coming out in the summer, I don't suspect we'll see many big first party 3DS titles until Fall/Winter. If I don't get Smash, that'll be a big break between Kirby and whatever comes out in the Fall.

I decided to pick up one of them new GTX 750 Ti graphics cards last week. I don't have an actual gaming rig, just one of those prebuilt "entertainment PC's" so the low power requirement was a big plus. It's great being able to run stuff on High and even Ultra for some games. The old card wasn't built for intense gaming so the fans would always be running so loud; haven't heard a sound from this new one. Hopefully, it should last me a few years till I need a new computer.

Bring on the Steam sales! :D

How's the first day of spring for everyone?

It started snowing here this morning (still is). Temp is supposed to drop, visibility is awful and wind gusts are strong. Afternoon rush hour is gonna be a disaster at this rate.

I wish winter would just go away; it's been surprisingly bad this year.

Of the games that we know about, i'm excited for Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros. 4 and X.

Dang, that looks surprisingly complicated now that I look at it. I've been playing Pokemon long enough that i've pretty much memorized the whole thing but I can see how people find it confusing. :P

Some dual types still throw me off occasionally. That and the oddball Pokemon that look like they should be a certain type but aren't.

Who needs a silly new console anyway!

My backlog is pretty much cleared after finishing DK and i've had a chance to go back and play some older games the past week. Honestly, there's a crazy amount of replayability in my existing collection. I've gotten so used to accumulating new stuff and rushing through it all, I think i've been spoiled! This game drought / price hike might not be such a bad thing.
