@razeandjadith: I do both. I've slowly bought three ships - first the Aurora package, then flipped that package to the 3001, Mustang Gamma and now the Freelancer, as well as a Constellation and an Avenger. All across the development period, both to support the project and to enjoy ships I'll immediately own upon PU launch. All cool to be a part of.

@unreal849: "The majority are developed in 3 or less..." This is entirely, completely untrue for AAA games. You have limited working knowledge of the industry. Resources, manpower, space allocation, and other above-the-line costs are allocated to game development as far out as 6 years ahead of time, and OFTEN the 4-5 year range. OFTEN. Your submission is just wrong.

@scoobijohn: I disagree. From the actual language of the speech, it seems that Oldman is saying "this far, no further," in that the loss in the Vega II battle was the biggest of a series of battles (and, to his mind, retreats).

@mdinger: The mistake CR made was in giving dates. He should have said "It will be done when its done, and we'll show you all our process, and even cultivate a community of "expert suggesters" to support development."

Funny that the video big ups NMS for heading also to console, and SC for its potential features, but E:D is the only real game right now, and the first one to console in XBONE. Timing is everything.
