@mkeezay22: I don't think so, but even if it takes more 2 years, it will still be around the normal timeframe a game like this takes to make (Being pretty much 2 games, whole Campaign + MMO). Nobody is happy it takes this much time, but it's also about being real about what's being developed here.

If they manage SQ42 next year as full release, it will give them more time to work on PU.

@deviltaz35: For SQ42, next year, the rest is unknown. I played Elite: D as well, waiting for Star Citizen, they are building something incredible, i hope they will be able to achieve it.

@slappy54: I'll take a print and put a reminder on my Manager here to remind you of doing so! Oh another thing, you'll have to livestream it and they have to be dirty socks! :D

It's nice see Star Citizen keep up with its Kickstarter Promises, a top level movie-cast was one of the goals achieved, requested by the community of backers back then.

People may think the contrary but Squadron 42, was the biggest thing of Star Citizen on its original kickstarter, it grown a big focus also to the MMO now being developed now. It takes time, it's noticeable how things are still "half-baked" but, if they live up to what SC is meant to be, hell, i'm glad to wait.

@DraconisRex: Release dates it's the downside of what they usually announce, i mean it's clear a game this big would not be released in 2/3 years, and after the scope increase, the 2014 had to be dropped, it's like SC vision Nº1 and vision Nº2 (that is currently being developed).

Delays are normal, but they also should just do what the Big Companies do and had said: "It's ready when it's ready.", would had save them PR Nightmares. Side of that, Squadron 42 is during 2016 not early, we don't know about PU but at the stage things are shaping up with AC 2.0, it would not be a huge jump to have the first early builds of one PU next year.

@DraconisRex: Well then, all they can do now is go forward with the game. It's taking too long than what you are willing to wait? Submit a refund request. That's really all there is to it, the game is taking longer, i'm willing to wait, i would be mad if they rushed mediocre releases to keep up with release dates.

@nurnberg: Cultists? What about people like you that attack everything you possible can about the project, being unable to backup ANY claims you make with evidence, and resort to insults and attacks like what you just posted to ignore everyone who doesn't have your view of things.... Hmmm, who's the cultist here?

@drysprocket: Is it that clear? The claims that the company is out of money, shutting down the Austin Studio and executing company-wide layoffs are just being proven wrong:

The company is increasing their headcount, not reducing, only last week on the German studio they introduced 4 new developers. The company got recently 2 new outsourced development studios to help the Austin studio production. And lastly, a company out of money ISN'T a company hiring developers every week increasing their headcounts. --'

As someone said on the comments and well, people will find drama to attack SC independent of what: "Just think of it this way. If they had paid bottom dollar and only gotten the most green and unknown actors to perform in the game, these same people wouldn't be praising that news either. Instead, they would use it as evidence that Star Citizen had burned through so much cash that they couldn't afford the celebrity actors they had promised from the original campaign. No matter what Star Citizen does, these people will never do anything but twist it to fuel their campaign of misinformation. They're twisting the truth and their professionals at it. As a result, I can't take them seriously. "

@ajac09: If you want to play a game that is already playable on its meant form, this is not the moment. If you want to pledge for the game and support the project, and gain access to some alpha demos of parts of the game, then sure.
