Yeah, they are looking for a way to produce the TV episodes cost effectively and incidentally the rumors are that this game is similar in many ways with the 50+ scripts that Rick McCallum claims are ready once technology catches up with their budget issues.
I agree! Developers go to so much trouble to balance out Jedi they make them feel watered down and, well....balanced, but a Jedi is exceptional and should only be challenged by an onslaught of foes or another posessing a similar gift. Developers, I believe "That is why you fail"
You do know that dear orphaned Boba never killed a single Jedi, due to the fact that he was just a lad at the time "Order 66" was executed. So......"Don't underestimate the power of the Force"
I want what I suspect many others want. A complex X-Wing style game with all the depth of control, inspection, targeting and wingman comands combined with the ability to get out of the cockpit of said starfighter and step into a complex open world (Galaxy?) ground based game. Probably to demanding on todays hardware, but that would be sick.
I loved SWBH and I would have loved to see them visit that title with a sandbox approach, but they seemed clear this would be linear or excuse me...."cinematic" I'll probably bite on this, it makes me think of Mass efect in a Star Wars setting.
"new franchise" = NO SEQUEL! It's not that complicated! True many of LA's IP's are worthy and indeed overdue for a sequel, but sadly that is clearly not the context of this announcement. Having said that, Sith Assassins Creed anyone? Open Galaxy assassinations?.......
