I am like millions of people who loved the idea of the COD franchise leaving WWII and going to modern day warfare. And this game was the most popular and profitable game in the series. Not to mention the most enjoyable online experience I have ever had. So why go back to WWII???? Anyone know????? That being said I just watched the trailer for World at War and I think this does look different than any other WWII shooter out there. I hope the game turns out as good as the trailer looked but I still think they have a good thing going with COD4. Any thoughts???

this isnt the first time treyarch has done a cod game. look back to cod 3 and even big red one was by them. so.... its probably gonna suck. Do you people think that these developers just go along on their merry way and don't pay attention to mistakes they made or what reviewers and players comment on? They are aware of their past shortcommings. They know what improvements they need to make.
do you think people change overnight? some people are just not that great at making games... a lot of people couldn't care less how good the game is either. they just want that paycheck. that being said, this game looks like it could have some potential. maybe treyarch has gotten their crap together. i guess only time can tell now.
yeah. i think they definitely have to fix knife hit detection. i've had some really bad ones where i'm not even close, yet i still die. i've also knifed someone without them dying too. that's agrivating as well...
this is what needs to happen to the next gears of war. They need to make sure it has a long single player campaign (15 hrs or more) they also need to fix the multiplayer. i don't want to wait for the next round when i die. i also would love to see a free for all mode.
