I'd probably say that I started visiting GameSpot since it's first year. I still visit other game sites to check a multitude of reviews, both professional and user, before I decide on a game. However, I haven't been to happy with the reviews given on the ps3. I respect that GS tends to grade harsher on games than other sites.

I, for one, before I get started. Started with the Xbox and have been more than happy with it. Although I initially planned to buy an Xbox 360. I went for the ps3 so I could get both a game system and blu-ray. Yes, at first I hoped that Xbox 360 would be successful with the HD-DVD but after some rational decision making and debiasing, I was convinced on blu-ray. So I went for the ps3, not my first choice. Now that I have one, I am positive on Sony. Why? Because I have a ps3. Plain and simple. It's an investment. But I am not going to try to convince myself that it's the best.

Having seen the way GS has been treating the ps3, I am happy I have moved to IGN as my primary site around 2-3 years ago. They treat each system with favor. Even the PSP, which was owned by the DS, they praise for it's good points. I respect the fact that they made a topic to present the current problems with the ps3. It's a good way to get the word out and have Sony correct those problems. However, the way they did it was in bad taste. As a professional site, in the world of irrational decision making, their words reflect power of a higher authority. "Therefore it must be true". As a "star" leads the way, other follow. I could go on on this all day. Read a book on rational decision making if you aren't able to think "rationally". Unbiased. I feel like GS is getting overconfident. The first sentence of the Ninja Gaiden preview really set me off. Come on, how many ninja games are on Xbox 360? By starting off negative, readers will start their mentality from a negative perspective.

By creating a negative review, it spurs onlookers away who might  have seen the good in the system. Not saying that the ps3 is bad, I am in fact very happy with it. I play both ps3 games and ps2 games. (Yes, ps2 games are still good quality. Xbox 360 gamers seem to forget that those quality games are still playable until the ps3 collection grows.) But by creating a negative stance against the ps3, many others will follow. Simply because GS is a higher authority..creating a negative spiral for the ps3. If the userbase is to grow. You're not helping. The ps3, isn't bad. It's still growing.

What I want to see in the ps3:

Online Service which rivals Xbox Live (Yes, RS6 on the Xbox Live was the best ever.)

More exclusives. (Third parties, I accept on multi-platforms due to high expense. Maybe more first and second.)

That's all I care about for now.

Until I see improvements in GS. I'm going to keep IGN as my primary site.

10 Things that will make me return to GS as my primary site:

1. Interface that is less cluttered.

2. Better videos, the quality and quantity on IGN is better.

3. Debias your editors.

4. Too much flash. Sure it looks pretty but it's not as convenient as other sites.

etc.

Maybe when things like these are improved, when people ask me why I still visit GS. I won't have to say I don't know.
