Every year for the past 5 or so years DMC5 is getting an announcement that never happens.

next year since it's supposed to be episodic or something, which greatly killed my hype.

I'm more than happy with current gen graphics, so don't care if the graphical jump of the next-gen consoles is big or not. What I want is higher frame-rate. Or at least the option to downgrade the graphics for better frame-rate.

Compared to the first game the R&C reboot was pretty bad. The story was just chunks of stuff that made no sense because they wanted you to watch the movie and thus the character interaction was also lacking. I mean, Ratchet & Clank are together throughout most of the game but they hardly talked or looked at each other's eyes.

But it wasn't just the story and characters that suffered, the gameplay got dumbed down even more than it already was from the PS3 games. Most of the gameplay was shooting at stuff but the guns were so overpowered and the platforming so braindead I often wondered what was even the point of playing this instead of simply watching the crappy movie... Good graphics is all this reboot had.

Next-gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft could have the most incredible hardware there is and you can bet most devs will still target 40k/30fps, highest settings possible at the expense of poor frame-rate, poor AI and hardly any physics or world interactions.

Meanwhile Nintendo's pushing 60fps for Mario Odyssey and Zelda, even on Wii U, offers a more physic based world than Horizon on PS4... It's like modern devs don't understand they are making games not movies.
