Could someone clear this up for me? Bush claimed that it wasn't torture at the time by working around technicalities in the definition of torture in the Bybee and Levin memorandums, misinformed technicalities that went against customary international law. Now Obama has admitted that it actually was torture, but has he changed any of the laws? I mean whats changed legally? I cant seem to find anything on it...

an article written by a less than reputable british newspaper claims that we're all in grave danger? Should we be worried or will I chalk this up to sensationalism?

What's your opinion on the wikileak claiming that al qaeda will unleash nuclear hellfire if OBL is captured or assassinated? I imagine they'll want some kind of retribution but I'm pretty sure that's a bluff that has been blown well out of proportion. It's a terryfying thought none the less and when I first saw that newspaper headline I was a bit shaken. Anybody wanna console me here? :P haha
