What do I think? I think its April. Ask again in November. You might actually get some qualified, intelligent feedback.

After a lot of trial and error with 3 different HDMI cables, I think I have determined that my HDMI port in the back of my PS3 is bad/defective. Luckily, I bought an extended warranty from Best Buy, so rather than deal with this problem, I am just going to return it for a new one. Before I do that, though, is there any good way to transfer all my saved games/settings/etc to my new PS3? I.e.- my level and classes in COD4- is that info saved on the HD or is that server-based?

Feel free to add me- Bigkayge

I play 75% COD4, 25% UT3, not very good at either one of them.

Thank you for your answers. I would like to go on a tangent and praise the PSN members for how supportive people are. When I first submitted this thread, I kind of cringed because I was half expecting "LOL@!!! U SUXXORZ, BUY DIS GAME SO I CAN PWNZORZ J00!!!111"

But none of that, I'm happy to see. I'm out the door right now to pick up this game.

I can notice a slight difference over component, but a world of difference over composite (obviously).

If you're asking about different kinds (brands) I have a monster cable and one that I got for $6 including shipping on Amazon, and they both look absolutely the same.

Historically, I've been on the line between mediocre and totally hopeless when it comes to FPS's, causing me to tend to shy away from online multiplayer. However, UT3 has kind of sparked my interest in these types of games. I do realize that these games are different in almost every way, and I'm not trying to make a comparison here.

My question is, how easy is this game to pick up and play? I mean, for someone who usually completes FPS SP campaigns on the average level of difficulty? After hearing so much about how great COD4 and the community is, I really want to join in, I just don't want to be the noob if this game is meant for the more "hardcore" gamers.

For me, during two warfare matchesit was a really, really, bad lagfest. Almost unplayable at times. I hope that this gets cleared up soon, or possibly I just got on at a bad time.

And no, my internet connection doesn't suck.
