I'm really looking forward to it, I know Bethesta understands that they have huge shoes to fill for the fans of Fallout, so I don't expect there will be any disappointments. I just wish it would hurry the hell up. And by the way it wont be like Oblivion, maybe some similarities but not an abundance..... I hope.

True, but Barely..... They're closing numerous stores and some have already closed the doors, like the Baton Rouge store where I worked. Regardless, they sucked when I was an employee and a customer.

An unusual first post........... but I stumbled upon this funny a$$ letter a min ago that I wrote to my employers at CompUSA years ago and never had the balls to send it to them, but I read it for the first time in years and figured I had to share it with someone, especially since they have recently gone down the tube, so here goes......ENJOY!

To CompUSA, April 2003

I have decided to leave this company, and find another path to a real career.

CompUSA has been far too unstable, unorganized, and unable to provide the employee's with the resources to do the jobs they are given.

The two years of my life that I have invested into this company, were intended to have been for the experience to move up in this company, and further my career, but after the "smoke" cleared and the truth of this company came crawling out, I soon realized it was only a place to get a "paycheck." This company has a very horrible way of trying to motivate, and drive the employee, I have seen CompUSA try many different tactics for this, but no matter what "great idea" or "Revolution" CompUSA comes up with, the outcome will always be exactly same in the end, a highly unmotivated, non-loyal, dishonest, and unhappy employee. I can only hope that the employee's here have a "back-up plan" for when this crippled company finally falls on its face.....

The only decent position still left in this company is the business sales department, and it sucks! How in the hell can you expect to compete with huge corporations that can sell products at 2-3 points of margin, while the business sales dept. is held to 15 points of margin, or else you don't get commission, this is ridiculously funny....... What other company in the world would ever make you NOT want to sale? Here's an example: It's the last week of the period for a business sales rep and he or she is at $80,000 in sales with a margin of 15 points, but they have a customer call in and say that they need 500 laser printers at $1000 each and have it to them by the end of the week....margin has to be lower than 9 points (which is not bad margin). Well guess what...you are now officially screwed because if you close this deal for $500,000 you now don't get a commission check!!!!!!! Do they think we are stupid?

If I didn't know any better I would imagine a bunch of farm animals are running the corporate headquarters. How could you not milk this company for a paycheck, use this job as a pit stop for a real one when CompUSA is ripping off its own employees.

I have learned some good things from my experiences here, like how not to run a company, and how not to treat your employees if you want them to be loyal and hard working. Having said all of this, I wish the best of luck to everyone in this company in the future, I also wouldn't mind seeing the whole company turn a complete 180, and save itself from complete disaster.

Thank You,

Former CompUSA Monkey
