While the i7 is better, the performance gains with the i7 doesn't justify the cost. Not to mention, i7 is not the "mainstream" processor as everyone thinks it is. Core i5 is the mainstream and isn't due for another year or so at least.

I am a PC Gamer, yet I am uncertain about all these "costs" that people have been mentioning. True, the initial cost of purchasing a PC is expensive, but from there, you just upgrade the components along the way, and if something like Core i7 comes around, then maybe start saving up all your money from your part time job for the next shift. And you don't need to indulge into ultra expensive parts. People seem apt to criticize PC gaming because companies like Alienware and VooDoo take up the spotlight leading people to assume that PC gaming is very expensive. It isn't. I can build a \$700 computer that would run Fallout 3, Crysis, Far Cry 2, etc decently-very well. Plus, with a computer, you could listen to your Trance Re-mixes in the background while playing Crysis. Right? P.S.: about why the PS3 shots see so dark, Gamespot forgot to adjust the video settings in the main menu. If you don't fiddle around with it, it shows a dark image.

@360pauly "Who needs all those games Mac can't run." Who needs those games? I would say people who like to play video games. "And can a PC beat a new Macbooks casing in tearms of coolness.......No answer?? THATS WHAT I THOUGHT." First off, a PC is a PC, and a Macbook is a laptop. Get your facts straight. Now, if you want to talk about laptops, gee, let me see...hmmm,....you know what? You are absolutely correct. I can't believe that Alienware/VooDoo/Vigor Gaming/Samsung/HP SE/etc look so ugly. Indeed, Macbook tries to look pretty, so that is why there is no BACKLIT LED KEYS. And I really don't care about a pretty looking computer, because if that pretty looking computer can't even run Crysis, count me out.

I wonder where Blizzard is, such as Bill Roper with StarCraft.

Make games for the Mac? What kind of insanity is that? I would like to see a Mac run Crysis on High Settings at 1600x1200 at 25 FPS. Nay, even 15 FPS. Of course, installing Crysis on a Mac is a challenge in itself. And some people who are intense gamers buy those gaming keyboards so that it shows stats. But for the Razer, I suppose they get it for looks. However, the G15 isn't just for gamers. It gives out general stats via add-on's for it and actually comes in handy sometimes. Plus, LED Backlit keyboards do look better than a standard e-Machines keyboard. :)

I am hoping that GameSpot would get a Core 2 Quad, perhaps a Q6600, to see how quads fare against dual's in FC2. (Not the extremes)

It is the Japanese fault if they have this prejudice to foreign goods. When we have children of our own, we can proudly say that we played Halo. But the Japanese? What can they say then? "We played all these RPG's that nobody knows about."

I don't think that Microsoft is searching for console supremacy there, but a foothold in the Japanese Market. Just to make a dollar here and there. Then again, it doesn't make much sense to me to pamper to the Japanese market this much. The European and American markets are very similar, and both contribute more to Xbox sales than any other region in the world. America is Microsoft's home turf, and if Microsoft starts to alienate the American market, god forbid that we will in the future play Hannah Montana's Sing Along for the Wii.

I think I'll still get an nVidia because the design on that card looks hideous (sorta looks like it was grabbed out of a generic fantasy novel from a duty free store) Not to mention, I don't personally think I'll need all that power. After all, I play on a 17 Inch Monitor, with games running happily at 1024x768. I think I'll just play it smart and spend only $80 on a 9600 GT, then spend the 500 or so dollars I saved on something like bubblegum.
