Mixer? What was that about? Maybe they should have given gamers credits to stream for "real" purchases like DLC instead of handing out 30 million dollars to one gamer. "FIVE DOLLARS"! It Should have been a no brainer with the model of game development that has been microsoft games. How much were they losing on each three sixty console? They claimed it was sold over cost. The XBox gold and XBox Studio buying developers ensured forward monetary reimbursement.

What was the incentive to gamers that they were going to receive for playing on this mixer? Precedence Set! You gave the shrouds and the ninjas cash money! What did joe shmoe from idaho get for logging in daily for the last two years other than time wasted? Twitch gives the drops for watching. Where was the Xbox Mixer offering sweet loots or skins to the devoted fans?

It was a worse commercial tie in then twitch by far and the money they took wasn't pushed on gamer retention, instead gambled on gathering more commercial investors. That's what all gamers really want right, more commercials? How about not letting your baby drop your gamers huh? Crashes and just bugs in general not to mention the lag spikes they pushed onto twitch side when first released in an attempt to un-throne the king by accidentally choking connectivity of twitchers from xbox apps. (Yeah we saw what you did there.) Not Cool.

Microsoft in general has a horrible track record of ditching things that don't "work" for them. Used to be a great company now it sources intelligence to and fro for money from the bidders/handlers.

@bababooey12: Good for you. Hope that works out for you. Why are you telling me facts about the console? "Only one console can be set to home at a time". Why are you telling ME this? I don't need you to tell me anything. You responded to a post that didn't need a response, Original post was enough to be as a stand alone but you had to add two cents to my post about the video so I get to respond to you. So instead of watching the video and commenting on the video you go to the comment section and belittle others with a false narrative about how it didn't happen to you so It must not have happened that way or I don't know what I am talking about. That's why I replied to you comment the first time to set the record straight.

Two accounts running as home confused you into thinking I was running two home accounts on seperate consoles? QUOTE OF SELF FIRST PARAGRAPH:,

"My experience with gamepass is a sour experience. It steals licenses from accounts. The whole thing is great IF you are the only account on the console. You have two accounts running as home and then the problems will become very evident. I own two consoles and can tell you that when my girlfriend bought into gamepass it stripped all of the licenses from my profile and when I went to play on the other console it told me I needed to go buy them in the xbox marketplace. I own discs! Had to re install any game I want to play to get license back. Does that sound fun?" END QUOTE.

When I say you didn't read my original post this is what I mean. It clearly states that I have one console with two running home accounts that were comprimised by the downloading of gamepass subscription. So your take away is I must have two consoles running as home? Ok, that still doesn't excuse the software from stripping licenses from other profiles occupying the same console just because they were silver accounts at the time. The gamepass software transfered automatically all MY licenses to ultimate profile. The only reason I brought this up here was to let the ones who wanted to know, know. I didn't post my personal story here to be harassed because you want to push some kind of brainwashed agenda that microsoft only does good out there and it's all for the betterment of mankind. It's not and I am sick of talking about it already. I have already been told by microsoft representative that nothing they would do. They can do but won't. They said tuff. Be more careful next time. That it was my fault without saying it outright. Unless you're exclusively paid by microsoft to push doubt on all they do, then I guess it all makes a little more sense that you would stick up for the mega corp that is microsoft as they pay you to do so. You sheep? You wolf? don't matter because they are nature itself and will roll over your dens and fields with what there pushing, now who's buying? don't be a shill.

Please don't respond anymore as I won't respond negatively or positively as I am done with this topic.

Bottom line, if you had read which means an understanding of what is written you already had the right answers you just wanted to ignore that for your own perspective which you pushed onto my comment instead of just making your own thoughts known about the, "Next gen gamepass and how it will revolutionize gaming forever"!.You had nothing to add to the video or the comment section. This, for me, is done. You can keep arguing with yourself if you must about this. good luck.

@masonshoemocker: First,IM NOT SCREAMING!! Okay. I don't have the rights or license to play pubg. The gamepass holder does as stated three times now both profiles are set as home on one console which is why she can play on second console and I can not. I was the one that was signed in at the time of purchase and download so license should be with person who paid money for game, not who is gold/gamepass holder. Second this all started because you didn't understand what I was saying about gamepass in general. I don't like it but I use it because it is installed onto the console. I think in practice it works great, again IF underscore highlighted IF you are the gold holder. IF you are not then when making separate purchases as a secondary home account holder with silver you will have games stolen away from your account and automatically transferred to gold/gamepass. What i mean with PUBG is that her license with PUBG is digitally attached to gamepass so when gamepass goes to remove it from the list how do you think this game will be treated? Will it honor my code and allow gold holder to keep the purchased license or will the console only see another gamepass game that needs to be stripped from the library. Seems like it would be simple but it is actually a nightmare in untested software design. Thats why I wanted to let people praising the gamepass as a be all end all for future gaming know its not the sugary gumdrop of easy fun that its toted to be. It is rushed technologies pushed because money fuel desires of aging capitalists rushing forward without due caution. Were the guinea pigs running their tests. Again not attacking you it just seems like your trying to push some wierd pro microsoft. For the love of all that is good understand that microsoft hasn't made some big announcement telling people not to do these things in this arrangement that lead me to make the original post in the first place. The stuff I am talking about didn't all happen in one go it's over years and decades of lies and false starts and forgotten outcries, much like the one I already made to microsoft about this issue when it happened.

I didn't change consoles I just keep getting new ones when the old ones burn up or out. I haven't done a console ship back since the three sixty. I don't know if you know about that time but I personally went through seven, maybe nine seperate consoles in the course of that three year upgraded warranty. Sent out the warranty as soon as I opened the box. They used to send a paper warranty you could mail in with the consoles back then so thats how I was able to get so many free replacements. Every one of those three sixty consoles failed majorly. The one I bought from the pawn shop has been working great for five years with only the barest of upkeep. I digress.

I am gold. I just wasn't then because I thought that the game console wouldn't break logic and give another account the game I bought. Thanks captain hindsight. How gracious to share your after knowledge I am sure it will be of great help to me back then. Really, "go gold", "just buy it on the website". WOW,...... Thanks,..... really.

Lastly for the record the person at microsoft had said I may be able to get licenses back for those games but would require me to set second console as home but would not give me extra swaps to do so even knowing that the problem was from their end. They don't care about their customers,PERIOD. Thats why I don't recommend gamepass. Please don't comment to me anymore about how you think that should have gone, I already told you how it went down, it already happened. Maybe the advice you gave might save another but not really sure who even reads these as not a whole lot of traffic, you know?

@bababooey12: Seriously go read the original post I made. Why are you mad at me for speaking up about something that happened to me? The hell i'm talking about is that you need to actually read what I posted before saying that i am wrong or whatever you think your trying to say. lol. I own multiple consoles but you can only have one set to home. When you purchase a game on your home console and you are not the gold/gamepass holder on said console then rights for game get transfered to gold/gamepass holder. I downloaded a game with a silver subscription and it gave other profile the license to the game because they were gamepass/gold ultimate. The gamepass itself when originally downloaded transferred all my licenses to gold/ gamepass holder. That included Sea Of Thieves which I own on disc! I had to manually uninstall from separate not home console and reinstall to get license back on my side for secondary consoles. It stripped me of the license even though it was a disc based game. I don't know how and I can only speculate why. don't attack me for telling a comment section what happened to me. You want to go get upset then go get upset at microsoft for letting this happen to gamers in general.

I am not attacking you I just want this to be made some light to as microsoft has said it intends to do nothing about it and that it isn't really a problem for them. I would sue if I had billions to fight the gates corporation and the mistreatment I have suffered at their hands. Nothing physical mind you just hours and hours and hours of phone calls trying to get things back from them after they lied about things. Left 4 dead crash course dlc stuff, you know? 800 microsoft points is ten bucks and the dlc went live at that price. Then after about and hour they dropped the price to 650 microsoft points and when I went to get the difference they said I had purchased it for 650 points. I told them of the inconsistencies of the total microsoft points at which point they told me nothing they could do and hung up on me. when I called back mysteriously the data from before the purchase was all gone. Isn't that wierd that the points which I always got on cards and was very traceable through my account history had suddenly disappeared. I know how far microsoft will go to be right and you don't need to stick up for them. They don't care about you or me just our wallets and whatever we are willing to give them.

Keep posting but read what is there before posting trash reply to a trash reply about something someone wrote. Reading is not enough without understanding what is written but I have hope for you.

@Pyrosa: Thanks for the reply. DID you actually read my post? It clearly states that my console is linked with another account. Both accounts on one console are both set to home. This is so both accounts have access to each others libraries of games. When my girlfriend downloaded gamepass the licenses that were on my profile were switched to hers as those particular games were on gamepass. When I tried to play those same games on another console that was not set as my home console I was told to go purchase the game. As I originally posted(if you had actually read it) the games that were digitally mine were now not. An example for this is PUBG. I had two games, one from buying PUBG edition console and one I purchased over xbox live. The one purchased on the game store seemed like it was working fine until I went to download it on separate console. Because she was gold and I was silver even though I was signed in as home console microsoft logic said no no no that game belongs to gold subscribers, no dirty silvers allowed and gave the license to the other profile as it was gold/gamepass. I.m not even going to use the second code until I can get this sorted out with microsoft.

Good for you going all in on those consoles. You must be rich enough to not care where your licenses go. As I originally posted I am not rich and not wealthy. I only have just enough and sometimes not even that. So when I make a purchase I want my item. If I left a loaf of bread behind at the grocery store I will always go back and claim my missing items, Penny pincher here. To be clear IF you are the gold subscription holder then all game licenses pass to you. If all people are gold then only one person needs to download the game and all gold members on same console get the license for the game. IF they are all set to same HOME console. What I was saying above is that silver gamer profiles even if set to home console if there is another gamer profile with gold or gamepass or whatever activates that sweet multiplayer also transfers all licenses to gold/gamepass subscription holder. Doesn't matter if you payed for the game and the other profile is signed out. If it's gold and your silver then microsoft automatically transfers the rights of the game you purchased with your money to gold subscription holder.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am not attacking you. I just want to make some aware that there are some things that slip through the cracks and microsoft as a corporation doesn't care. They told me so on the phone. I'm at my transfers limit and have to just deal with this until next generation and maybe I will be allowed to have more transfers for the next console.

PS. not many even watched original video about all this. Just haters representing for a company that doesn't even care about them on an individual level. You got money they'll take it but you got grips and no no we'll call you, sometime.

@masonshoemocker: I have two home accounts on one console. The licenses to the games purchased go automatically to gold subscriptions. If I don't have gold and other account does then even though My account can not download the game on the other system which has only my account. It does not recognize the game I purchased/downloaded as mine. I would have to make the second console my home console to get the license back under my gamertag. Because as previously stated the Gold/Gamepass holder is automatically awarded the license as console assumes whomever is gold is holder of license. I have minecraft for xbox. It was part of a free upgrade for people who owned 360 version. Because I was silver when I downloaded to my profile the console gave the license to gold member(the other profile on console). You actually can't play any game you download digitally on any console if you don't "own" the game.

QUOTE: "So for instance, here is how me and my son share a game that I bought digital with 2 Xboxes.

1. I make my son's Xbox my Home Console. I do not need to sign in with my account (gamertag) for him to download/play the games I purchase and he is free to use his own account to record his progress/be his own identity, etc." END QUOTE.

How many times could you possibly do this theoretical game jump? three. Once more? this is predicated that you have unlimited license swaps, which you don't. Again that's Your profile set to home with YOUR childs profile on same console, on your gold license. SO that's why it works for you and your child. What I am telling you is that I was silver on my profile when I downloaded games. Payed Money for the games Downloaded onto my profile. Went to the next room to repeat process and was told that I need to purchase game. I already bought the game! On my profile. Doesn't matter if I am gold or not. Mine. Not hers. Microsoft automatically transferred the games license to other profile because that profile was gold/gamepass. I payed for the game and they gave it to the gold holder.

SECOND QUOTE:

"2. On my Xbox or any other Xbox for that matter, anywhere I go; I have to sign in with my account in order to download/play the games I've purchased digitally. That's it. I can take my games to any Xbox out there as long as I sign in with my account. How difficult is that."

real easy if your the only one downloading games as you would be the rights/license holder. If your gold then everything is fine for you. GO try to download purchasable games under silver gamer tag then try to play them on a separate console with same silver gamer tag. The console will deny you stating you didn't purchase as rights are only handled by gold holder. Do it. Really spend actual money while on a silver account attached to your gold. You can then try to transfer your profile to another console and see if those games are still accessible to the silver account attached to the console. Either way it won't allow silver accounts to hold license unless it is the only account on console or all accounts are silver.

QUOTE THREE:

"3. If my son or anyone else makes my Xbox their home console, I can play any games they purchase digitally without needing them to sign on with their account."

Again this is true enough but again there are a finite amount of times you, your child, your cousins, can transfer accounts to and fro. The original post was meant to shine some light on why maybe you shouldn't buy in on gamepass but seems to have turned into defending myself against someone who isn't in my circumstance, so of course I must be wrong because you haven't had it happen to you. You want to defend a company that steals from it's own player base? I know that now it is not a big deal me and my girlfriend are quite happy together but if such a time came when our paths part i want the games I paid for to be on my console, because they are mine.

QUOTE FOUR:

"4. Basically, the only way anyone can play the games that you own, their Xbox either has to be the assigned Home Console and you're free to play the game on another Xbox with you signed in."

Which is great. Love it love being able to play games I don't own on my console. What sucks is when I want to play same game in another room on another console. I have to be gold when downloading games for my profile. Especially if I bought them. which was the whole reason I posted originally. You can't buy a game at a silver level if the console has a gold set to home. PERIOD! The license automatically transfers to gold subscription holder even if they didn't download on their profile. Just gives game to the gold subscription holder. DO YOU GET IT YET?? YOUR WHOLE ARGUMENT IS INVALID!! YOU ARE THE GOLD HOLDER AND THE ONLY THING YOU GOT TO BRING TO THIS ARTICLE IS A BUNCH OF WHAT IFS!!!

THIS IS HAPPENING TO ME, NOW! this isn't theory. this isn't what if. I have facts based in hardware! I have multiple help tickets submitted for this already tier three escalation, you know? Working with microsoft to resolve kind of stuff. Factual things that have actually happened and are continuing to happen.

In closing please try try to understand why I would want you to know about underhanded business tactics. This isn't an attack on you. I don't even know you. Don't come attacking me over here for telling people about my experience with my time with the microsoft corporation. If you own a console your in this boat with me so don't go rocking to hard now.

I didn't experience any outage issues. Saw the message under test connection tab but at the time was looking for other functions. Xbox friend in Ireland said they couldn't connect to multi but we could still party chat. I.m in US east.

My experience with gamepass is a sour experience. Does that sound fun?

It was made for single players and not really for actual people who own houses or can take an extra console over to a friends house to get help with a certain level. We think it is normal to not actually own the games anymore and that should be crazy, right? You spent your actual money on something you don't own. When the internet drops off you can't even play any of those games you have downloaded. When I purchased Sea Of Thieves I knew I wouldn't be able to keep playing past the games online presence, but I feel like the way people talk about gamepass games like they actually own them. Isn't anyone aware that even though you download the games the great people at gamepass can just delete the game off your console with no warning anytime they want?

One more thing about the gamepass and license transfer I did own games that were only digital and I can't get those back now. Even the lady who called me from microsoft said nothing they can do unless I want to Make my other console my home console. Xbox limits account transfers. You only get three and I already used them on other consoles from before all of this. I was penalized for allowing gamepass in my home. The best part is because my girlfriend downloaded the digital copy, she doesn't have the licenses on those games either so whenever they decide to make room on gamepass those games will be gone from my console itself, stolen by greedy marketplace manipulations.

They're aware but don't care. you gave them your card and they will manipulate you to buy more. How many extras have you bought on those games you don't own?

Wow. You put a lot of work in this. Good stuff. Stopped playing that game after second halloween event. Was pretty fun when it first came out. Seems like too many people want to believe this is still a good game. Good on them, bless their souls.

keep reading in comments about how this is a "joke post". This is a front page headline item. Is this April first? Love what was in the posting. It goes great in the forums section. Not so sure about front page material. This is a requirement post, right? The company makes you have to post something? Got me to upvote and comment so metrics met i guess.
