So far nothing promising I personally see for the new gen Xbox. I would really like to buy a new gen Xbox GAMING console, but note how I said GAMING. I've been an Xbox supporter from the start, as the Xbox has been a Great gaming system thus far. However, if rumors are true and it is going to be focused more on the Kinect, Movie/ or Music entertainment rig, which also doesn't include a disk drive, I might just have to rethink who I'm supporting for my next gen console. In addition to this, rumors about the NO disk drive will be a nightmare I fear, even though I did hear you can buy a separate disk drive. But even with a separate disk drive how well will this seriously work? What if I wanted to play with friends and family for example, who say don't have an internet connection? Are you saying that I require internet to access my purchased games? Or that I can't play any of my games unless I fork out an additional 500? This idea really doesn't grasp my attention. Plus, I can't stand no skill and time killer apps or Kinect movement games. I really wish gaming consoles would just stay simple as JUST gaming systems and not some multi-media console. If I'm looking for features as previously mentioned, I would look toward a million other companies who produce and specialize in such features. The prime idea of a new gen console to me is one that would be simply more beefed up! E.g. system that provided better gameplay , graphics, no-lag multiplayer etc.... which also allowed more breathing room for game producers so that they could be able to provide such content. I do apologize for this lengthy thread, as I am just venting and a little aggravated where gaming systems are heading in the near future.
