I am curious as the how the online player works too, but I have a feeling that the OP and myself are looking for a differenct answer than the ones given. I don't want to know how it works, but what it is so to speak...

Exactly what are the objectives of the online play? I know it's not a deathmatch scenario and that there are different modes with different objectives. And while I understand that killing each other certainly comes into play, I am curious as to what some of these objectives are. And is it true that there is computer AI enemies as well as real people? How does one team "win" the match? Is it based on points/cash for getting objectives along with kills?

The 360 outputs upscales all their games to 1080p... the PS3 does for a couple but most games just run in whatever native resolution the game is in. Army of two does not run natively in 1080p (in fact hardly any games do)... so the 360 would simply be upscaling that. Any TV that has 1080p capability HAS TO upscale anything that isn't in 1080p. So basically it's a choice of having your TV doing the upscaling, or your 360... but regardless it will be upscaled. Results vary... Cheaper 1080p TV's like Vizios typically don't have good scalers, so the 360 may actually do a better job. But I'd guess that the majority of TV's have a upscaler as good or better than the 360's.

I only played about 5 innings of an exhibition game last night... but as a fan of last year's installment, this game is simply better in every way... especially visually.

I admittedly am nowhere near knowing the technical aspects of game developing and probably won't state this 100% correctly... but I believe that developers have stated that the blu-ray drive and blu-ray disc as a storage medium both make developing easier. Due to the extra disc space, less compression is needed, and the blu-ray drive reads at a higher bandwidth... or something like that.

The complexities have to do with the cell architecture and having separate processing units.

^^^ I completely disagree with Grathan. I'd say that while it plays very similar... it looks and sounds WAY better, and runs much smoother on the 2008 version.

The Show 07 is my favorite game to date, and The Show 08 looks to dominate that based on the Demo. There is nothing better than playing your buddies in sports games... and it is something that most of us (well I guess there may be some geeks here who never played sports) can actually relate to. Keep them coming, especially if they keep on improving the Show.

Also, last time I checked, in basketball you can run through the end of your screen like you could in Atari. They have changed a lot over the years.

In developer terms,
The "A" rating applys to money spent on development,
so, like, Haze, Killzone 2, etc that they spend MILLIONS on, are AAA title, as far as developers go.

Andrew_Xavier

What this guy said...

AAA has to do with what goes into the game (as far as money spent in developement, marketing. etc), not the results necessarily. Basically it has to do with earnings potential. Now of course developers want the end result (of more money spent) to equate to a well received game, but that's not always the case of course.

That all being said, over time... gamers have adopted it into a rating/review scale of sorts as well.

Not so much a moment, but an entire Free For All game when I reached the score limit (back when it was 30 kills... I believe it has changed since), 30 kills - 3 deaths. One guy's quote, "I don't care about this game anymore, it is my sole mission to take out JHi (my PSN ID) just once."

[QUOTE="gamedudeorino"][QUOTE="MFDABADKID"]

I can't wait for the show. I am ready to kick some butt online with my San Francisco Giants bring on the rivalries.

MFDABADKID

ADD ME PSN ID: abeg... Well Settle this on the Diamond.. BTW. What are you going to do without Barriod?

strike out your week lineup with my awesome starting rotation that's what ill do...Have you read the mitchell report Bonds was not the only one....Men playing for the handicap blue wearing doodgers are on that list (Eric Gagne, Paul Lo Duca, Raul Mondesi, Nomar Garciaparra etc....) the list goes on & on. Ill see you on the field, I will also be at dodgers stadium opening day to see them loose.

You can take your allegations... and your asterisk toting a-hole poster-child-of-the-roid-scandal past... and we'll just bask in the the glory of multiple championships and the nostalgia of Kirk Gibson fist pumps.

Andrew Jones, Russell Martin, and Joe Torre FTW! Go Blue

(Please lord let our pitching rotation stay healthy, for once)

As a PS360 owner, I have a feeling that I will only buy 360 exclusives from here on out. All Multiplats for the PS3... but I have one reason many others probably don't have:

1) More friends with PS3's = Game sharing / multiplayer online games

Otherwise

2) More reliable system

3) Scratch Resistant Disc

In this individual game's case:

I'd personally rather have the long install at the beginning (in which I actually was able to do something else), than longer load times while playing (which isn't a big nuisance, but there really is no time to do anything in the intermittent time you are wasting).
