Why doesn't the Wii have a demo download service? Personally there are alot of games I want to buy but with todays economy, I don't want to take a chance of spending my money on a stupid game. The PS3 and 360 both have demo services. Even the PSP and DS(through the Wii's nintendo channel) have demo download services, so why doesn't the Wii?

Am I the only one or are you guys thinking the same thing. In my opinion a Demo channel would be a great idea.

So today Nintendo announced the "DSi" which is a slightly thinner DS with added features. They took away the GBA slot so no more gitar hero. The screens are bigger which may or may not make things blocky. The battery life was reduced. And it cost more. On the plus side, it has music playback (not mp3 just AAC) a camera, bigger screens , web browser built in, and the ability to download DSi ware games.

The DSi is a cool system and a nice upgrade, but in some cases its a downgrade. To me it looks like nintendo took the DS lite and threw a whole bunch of unneeded features at it.

Would you guys have rather seen Nintendo unveil the next generation DS, or do you like the DSi?

I would have rather seen a DS2 with bigger screens, more power, better graphics, multi touch displays, some media capabilities, intternal memory for downloading demos, and maybe an extra new inovation that could make games cooler, just like the DS's touch screen made games cooler. What about you guys?

As you may know Nintendo is holding a private media summit event on October 2nd,-3rd. Obviously there going to have some big announcements so what do you think they will announce?

I hope they announce:

1. A NEW DS not a redesing, the DS lite is a great system and it doesn't need to be changed. If they announce a next generation DS with updated hardware, backwards compatibility, better graphics, bigger screens, motion sensing, possibly duel touch screens and of course some multimedia features (not to the extent of the PSP, just music, movies and photos) then I'll be happy.

2. U.S. release date for Pokemon Platinum

3. Plans to make nintendo WiFi service less restrictive as well as making there DS demo download service better quality.

I also hope they show remakes for pokemon gold/silver, a metroid FPS with propper single player mode and it would be nice if they showed a DS game that makes good use of the mic.

Just curious. Why does the GBA slot cover (the thing that keeps dust out of the GBA slot) have a chip inside of it?

Maybe the game can start out with you being part of the bad guys, then they double cross you, and you lose everything. Either way they need to change things up.

They could also make the gym battles like the battles in pokemon stadium, with all of the announcers and stuff.

The Pokemon series originated on the Gameboy in 1998. 3 pokemon generations have passed and the games are still following the same formula. You start in a small town and get your first pokemon, you go fight the gym leaders, you defeat the bad guys, see a few legendarys and from there you can try to "catch em all", or fight the elite 4/ battle frontier. This formula is fine, and it works, but I think Nintendo can change a few things and add more depth. Where probably a year or two away from the 5th generation games and if the rumors are true the 5th generation games should be on the next generation DS, but either way, what would you guys like to see in the next games?

In the 5th generation pokemon games, I'd like to see:

1. FULL 3D, the DS can handle it, it's been proven.

2. Option to choose your attacks by saying them into the Ds's mic.

3. The game should start of differently, have a deeper story and offer you more than 8 gyms.

4. Make the game more futuristic, or introduce some prehistoric pokemon.

5. Make the battles fully animated and give the player an option to avoid the battle, maybe make the grass shake to give the player the option to battle, or walk around the shaking grass.

6. Ability to change the look of your charactor.

7. Make wifi battling simpler to use and more open.

Thats all I can think of for right now.

I was looking at a few threads about this whole 2012 mess. It's kind of interesting. It seems the whole cause of this mess is a 12th planet called Nibiru (ne-bi-ru) or Planet X, I guess it only comes around every 3600 years and it's next pass of earth will be in 2012.

Some people think there are people living on the planet that will kill us all. Some think that it will crash into the earth. Others think thecreatures living on the planet will bring us into the next technology advancement (flying cars, robots). They say by 2009 we'll be able to see it as a red dot in the night sky, by 2012 it will apear to us as ared second sun.

Hear are acouple articles about it if your interested: http://www.detailshere.com/niburu.htm

Here is a site with a few pics(possibly fake): http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=eb7_1190980218

I personally kind of belive in the planet itsef, but I don't really belive in the superhuman giants that live on it.

What do you guys/ girls think about this whole thing? It's actually kind of scary when you think about it.

It shouldn't be too high. I'm only 16 and I own a 2006 Mitsubishi eclipse (gs). I'm under my parents and I only pay $170 a month. Only thing is I own the whole car, no payments. I also live in Washington state, so yours may be lower or higher depending on where you live.

I 2nd Monster Hunter 2. If your looking for a long game this is it. Its got about 80-100 hours in it and when you finish that, it has downloadable quest. Not only is it long but its also very fun and deep. Do I even need to mention the graphics? Get it.Other than that, your really long, deep and fun games arn't out yet. This includes Gran Turismo 4 mobile ( should be called Gran turismo 5 mobile) FF 7 Crisus core, and of course Final fantasy tactics.
