Alright, stop the bickering. Everyone has helped a lot; I didn't know jack about the i7 line and I can see now upgrading would be stupid, and I'm glad my investments in my components will last a lot longer,I'll just go forthe new case for now. Thanks again everyone

nah I'm not dissatisfied with performance at all, the idea was since I was basically starting a new build (w/ new case), I might as well do it the easy way with a new mobo, but like everyone is pointing out, I'd need a new CPU, and most of all new RAM, and I just bought those 8 gigs half a year ago. I just would rather have upgraded everything at once instead of in a few years trying to mess with a mobo/CPU replacement.

Alright so about to overhaul my PC for college. I started with just getting a new case, but realized I might as well get a new mobo while I'm at it. Here's the thing: I have a q6600, but should I get a new i7 CPU (something with a 1366 chipset as opposed to my 775) in order to accomodate a newer mobo, or get an older mobo with a 775 socket? If I do that, how soon would I need to replace my q6600 without upgrading now?

Looking for some fun ones. I usually don't play many but I need some. I have RE5, and don't say MW2, I have that for PC. Also I have Warhawk. Other than those, what do you guys like?

I have a PC, Wii, and PS3. Was looking for some good 2D adventure or even RPG games. I was thinking A Link to The Past, Super Mario Bros 3 as well. Can anyone vouch for those two? If there's any others (which I'm sure there are), what would you recommend? Never played the FF games; was gonna pick up XIII but figured I'd get started with VI or VII perhaps.

ha sorry, forgot to say I had that too (Audiosurf). I gues it doesn't really matter if it's on Steam only, anything downloadable on the internet is fine. I'll look into Trials

I'm looking for some good ones. I have PvZ, and just got Disregarde for Gravity or whatever. What would be your best reccomendations for casual games that can last for a long time?

Well There's this Hanns-G on sale at Newegg. it's 28" with an HDMI input. I already have a 22" with 1680x1050, and was wondering if it's really worth another $260 for a 1920x1200. Also, is 28" too big? I mean I put something up to my monitor right now that was that big, that's looks insanely big, almost enough that gaming would actually be harder (online and stuff). So what do you guys think? is 1920 really that much better and is it too big?

Hey sorry for another question. I know you can do a clean install of Windows 7 with the upgrade disc. So can I do this clean install if I have windows xp 32 bit right now? And if so, can I install the x64 bit of Windows 7?

I understand you will have to reinstall your programs if you have XP. My question is will I have to re-do both hard drives (will they both be erased), or can I move some stuff to my second hard drive to make it a little easier?
