Last time gaming had a pay to play/win system was back in the arcade days. Gaming was supposed to have moved beyond that. I won't support games with microtransactions.
@Banyek: I get that to have a good online based game it costs money. I'm not against cosmetic microtransactions if the money is used to maintain servers etc. That's understandable.
@Banyek: Creating a pay to win system in games would destroy gaming. It would basically mean that players can just pay their way to become competitive, rather than working hard to increase their skill level. The last time games operated on a level even remotely like this was when arcades were still around, but those were just pay to play, not pay to win. The more gaming moves towards a p2w, or microtransaction based system, the less interested I become in bothering to game.
I'm not usually one for wanting new laws to be created, but in this case, I'm fine with it. Companies like EA are really taking advantage of gamers and its not right.
@Whiskey3romeo: Because you want to be given the option to pay to progress. Gaming needs less people like yourself, not more. Thanks for the insult though, that was a nice touch.
I refuse to buy any game that contains microtransactions. The only exception I've made are with games like H1Z1, Grand Theft Auto V, and a few others. I will never buy a $60 game that contains microtransactions. EA are basically poison to the gaming industry at this point.
