Midna, Marin, Malon, and Medli are all similar. They are all Link's second fiddle, meaning they are all that one special girl who isn't Zelda.

In Majora's Mask, we see that green-haired secretary in Mayor Dotour's office, who is she? Is she an alternative version of Saria? Does she have a name in the Japanese version of the game??? That's a good question, does anybody know?
Also,in early development of the game, it was originally the blue-haired girl from the bomchu alley who sat in as the secretary of the office. Why did they remove her? She could have passed as Kafei's sister. Maybe that was the original idea, but they changed their minds....who knows.
Well I think Link is highly based/influenced by Peter Pan and Robin Hood. Link is more like Robin Hood when he is an adult, and more like Peter Pan when he isa child.
I think the Kokiri are based on the Lost Boys from Peter Pan, because they can't grow up either.
Link sometimes has a fairy companion, Navi, Tatl, Siela....Peter Pan has Tinkerbell. If You add Tatl and Tael together, you get the word Tattletale, which sounds similar to Tinkerbell. But I think Tatl and Tael are the names those fairies were given in the American version of Majora's Mask only, soit probably doesn't count.
Tetra's pirate crew slightly resembles Captain Hook's piratecrew. Especially the little guy with the glasses.
Tingle is kind of like an Oompa Loompa from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. When you first meet him he says the magic words, "Tingle, Tingle Kooloo Limpah".
The secretary in Mayor Dotour's office in Majora's Mask looks like a tall female Oompa Loompa, she most definitely has the hair of one.
Can anyone out there name any other similarities between Zelda and other things.
Regardless of what the Gametrailers timeline says, Link's Awakening would make no sense unless it took place after A Link to the Past. Not only is the art style consistent with ALttP (albeit scaled down a bit for the old Gameboy), ...
Of course the art style is consistent with ALttp, that's because the game was made after it. It's not like they could have given it a Wind Waker style back then...Link's Awakening actually fits perfectly if it comes right after Phantom Hourglass. I just have a feeling that I might be on to something.
It's either that or after the Oracle games. Since Link asks about Zelda in LA, though, it's doubtful that it would be the one from WW and PH.
Well....was he supposed to ask for Tetra? They couldn't have done that because she didn't exist yet. It's totally possible that they made Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass as prequels to Link's Awakening. The timelines are very confusing, anything can be possible, regarless of whatany manual says as well.
