I've been out of the hardware game for 2 years, and I am clueless on video cards now. I am looking for a good video card around $100. I found some EVGA cards on newegg, but they are described as PCI express 2.0. What is that? My motherboard is two years old, and it has:

One PCI Express x16 bus add-in card connector

sSo what is 2.0 anyways? Thanks.

Say it aint so. I purchased a 3 month live gold card tonight just to experience the Netflix streaming on Xbox. I got my free Netflix trial and I clicked the area on Live to download the update for Netflix. The next screen gives me an activation code and tells me to plug it into www.netflix.com/activate.

Great. The only way I can get on live is to unhook the eternet cable from my PC and plug it into the xbox. So I plug the cable back to the pc. Netflix times out and says it couldn't find the device. Oh crap so my Xbox must be online at the same time??!?!?! If so, that means you must have a wireless connection. If that is true, I am really pissed off and feel lied to by Xbox. I could care less about Xbox live and just wasted my money.

Well, I guess it really is true. The Xbox is a piece of crap, and I am really pissed off. I finally had the chance for some quality gaming time over the holidays. I turn on my Xbox and after 5 minutes, my game shuts off, and the console flashes the 3 red lights. Unbelievable. I bought this console 6 months ago from Amazon, and I have probably logged less than 100 hours on it.

At any rate, I don't keep up with Xbox news so I am clueless on what I can do here. Do they still have that warranty in place? What do I need to do this get this thing fixed? Thanks guys.

I lol'd. Sorry but forget your Xbox. Get the hell out of there. chester706

Lol, well they only let you pay per week. If I leave now, I've thrown away $230 bucks. No refunds for leaving early. Guess that is how they get their money. They even charge .15 cents a minute for local calls, but thank goodness I have internet. Man, they even make you go buy batteries for the tv remote! Now that is cheap.

I don't know whether to leave my Xbox locked in my car trunk or bring it here in the apartment either since this is a high crime city.

OMG, this is gonna be one really loooong week for me. I start a new job on Monday in a new city, new state. Little Rock AR to be exact. I thought it would be a lot easier on me to check into this extended stay hotel called Value Place and spend a month looking around and finally a great permanent apartment. They pay all your bills, you just pay 220 bucks a week. I brought my dvd player, dvds, and Xbox to feel right at home.

Bad choice! This place is worst than a roach motel. The bed is rock hard, cheap church basement chairs, and a small 22 SDTV with snowy cable channels. I tried hooking my Xbox into the audio video jacks, but nothing would come on either on channel 2, 3 or 4. Anyone got some suggestions or am I just SOL? This just really sucks to not be able to game until I can find an apartment, not to mention the back pain from the crappy bed!

In total I have 12 PS3 games, and out of that I have only completed 8. The last 4 seem to be there just to make my collection look good. So my question is, do you have a game that you haven't beaten, and if so why aren't you playing it to complete it?Furi-Kun

My problem is that I am addicting to buying so there is no hope for me beating all the of the games. I haven't even touched Oblivion, and I just bought Fallout 3. I did good last year and beat the following:

Drake

Heavenly Sword

Ratchet

Call of Duty 4

This year, I've only beat World in Conflict, Gears of War and Bioshock. GTA4 just buried me with the game length, and I ended up shelving it. Now I am 20 hours into Tales of Vesperia.

95% of videos are free, all demos are free, you can download trial arcade games for free, but in the ways of maps, gamerpics and themes 95% of those cost money...there is the occasional free map/gamerpic, but usually a limited time offer or comes with a limited edition gamechaoscougar1

That doesn't seem to be the case with music videos. I just happened to randomly click an ad, and got a free video from Slipknot. I think charging 160 points for a 3 minute video is just robbery.

I've had my Xbox 6 months now, and I still can not clearly navigate Xbox live content. Everything just seems so random. I remember at one point, I found free video tips to download in relation to the game I was actually playing. Now I can't figure out how to do that anymore.

In order to snag a free music video, I just have to randomly come across an advertisement on the screen. Surely, there is an easier way to find free videos and games. Any suggestions?

-Iron Man [could of been way better]

-Godfather

-Lord of The Rings

-E.T.

-the original Ghost Busters

-Batman Forever

-Back to The Future

-Street Fighter The movie; The game

-Fight Club

-The Matrix Path of Neo

-Jaws Unleashed

-Superman Returns

Im sure a lot more MODERN games were made that i cant think of but if you know any please post.

Movie based games that are good;

-Scarface

-King Kong

.................................................

I dont know any more but again, please post if you do.

SmashBroChamp94

Yes, most games based on movies are garbage, but there are exceptions.

Chronicles of Riddick - amazing graphics for its time, fun storyline as you try to escape from Butcher Bay prison

Star Wars game - you got good, bad and ugly here. The good would be games like X-wing and KOTOR 1 and 2

Lego Indiana Jones was a fun game. And Lego Batman as well.

[QUOTE="Flame_Blade88"]That's why you should only buy one game at a time, complete it, and then move on. New releases aren't going anywhere, you can get them anytime you want.K1LLR3175

That'll probably take another 10 years. lol I have a bad video game buying addiction. I have about 100 games from last gen that I haven't got started on

Yes, I know, but it seems like if I hold out on a game, it takes forever for the price to drop. I didn't buy LBP, and it will probably take months to drop. Valkyrie is already $50 bucks on Amazon.

Or atleast wait until you beat the first game you bought.
