Whenever I play games through Steam I generally spend 50% of my time configuring vs actually playing the damn thing. I usually get bored and turn to my trusty console that's actually plug and play for reals boi. And don't tell me you never have to configure anything. I was even playing a simple game like FTL (Faster Than Light) and one day the graphics drivers updated... I loaded the game and the screen was zoomed into the top-left corner. I wasted about 3 hours trying to solve that one. This is my usual experience for maybe half of games on my fairly powerful/modern PC.
The Steam client is annoying. It always spends a minute or two pretending to update when I first turn my PC on, even if I've only just restarted it. The interface is a clunky mess too.
I prefer to use a joypad most of the time. But it's not a bloody XBox controller, so why do all the button icons look like XBox buttons? When a game has a quick time event and shows me a flippin' Y button, what use is that if my controller only has buttons called 1, 2, 3, 4 or something?.. Rubbish.
Lots of people want to play AAA games of around 30GB in size without resorting to either waiting days/weeks for it to download or swapping half a dozen DVDs. It turns out Blu-ray is pretty decent I guess. It's a pity most PC games still aren't released on Blu-ray though, huh!
@MyFinalHeaven86: You're absolutely correct, of course, but my gaming PC isn't as powerful as the original PS4. It straddles somewhere between that and the PS3. You know, just 4 cores and a 2GB dedicated graphics card.
PS4 Pro is a much better upgrade than the "half-assed" XBox One S.
And mark my words, before the Scorpio is actually released the PS5 will be announced, which will be a proper next-gen machine compared to the lacklustre Scorpio.
@mrjoeyyaya: Maybe when PC games come on 30GB Bluray discs as standard it may be worth considering, rather than crap 4GB Dvd with initial 30GB Steam download.
@Evenios: Everyone here seems to be just guessing, and talking from a disbelieving standpoint. Dudes, people are already trying this kit out at gaming events and loving it. The graphics are beautiful, smooth and immersive. Try searching it on YouTube.
